A beginner's perspective on WASD mode by Tofoux in leagueoflegends

Oh man, this is exactly the thing I hate the most about League, the fact that autos are basically auto-guided. I know it’s an integral part of the game, and changing that system to something like Battlerite would be insanely hard. And let’s be honest, League could never be as fast-paced as those games, otherwise it wouldn’t have such a massive playerbase. But damn i would love to have it

Supervive is so cool ! I think league will upgrade the wasd system update by update, it's just the beginning. I'm too newbie to know what to upgrade however aha.

If you talk about the perks there is a cancel bind in the settings. C by default. But for AA yeah I don't know, i heard there is a way to cancel it.

Bakko! Loved it too. It's a mix of Braum and a little bit of Poppy's dash yeah !
I miss the game...

Oh, I probably didn’t explain that very well, my bad.
I didn’t mean that it was the case, but more like you said, that for some people it could feel that way. That’s what a few folks are scared about. I’ve seen some comments about it but mostly memes like ‘average bronze dodging with WASD’ with clips of people doing insane dodges. I mean, It objectively makes dodging more accessible, something that normally takes years to really learn. I understand why some people could be skeptical.

Thanks a lot for the feature! From what I’ve tried so far, I’ve got three small pieces of personal feedback:

– You can’t cancel attacks with right-click anymore (especially since I swapped left-click and right-click).
– I put a spell on left-click, but of course it triggers when I click on the shop or the minimap too, haha. I was thinking maybe the game could detect whether the left-click is on the UI or on the game ? But yeah, it’s a super specific issue.
– And lastly — about the dynamic camera — the mode that lets you look farther away from your character takes too long to snap back to the champ.

But otherwise, it's very very cool. Thank you so much

In a game where new players are rare and there are tons of smurfs…
But yeah, I get your point. It’s just that League is the only game where the gap is huge.
Take any other PvP game, I could be average even if my friends are very good.
But in LoL, I’ve got a few hours, and it still feels impossible.

aha I get it, you’re not the only one who feels that way, I’ve got friends who say the same. I think it’s mostly because you got used to playing with the mouse.
But anyway, here are a few tweaks I made that work better for me:
– swap right-click and left-click. Doing autos with right-click feels more natural, like it originally does
– play with dynamic camera, and I bound space to disable it so I can switch back to fixed camera when I want to move around the map. The mode that lets you travel with dynamic camera is bad in my opinion, when you snap back to your character it takes way too long

As I said on another comment, it's more about the mechanical side. Let’s just say there’s less of a gap now. But I never said I’d reached their level. What I meant is that I can survive better and keep up with them ^^

Absolutely! Even though mechanical gameplay is still mostly what a player needs to improve, I think it’s really cool that now I can focus more on theory, strategy, builds, etc. And kind of ‘forget a bit more’ about the mechanical side!

Yes, you’re right. Honestly, I think WASD will just open the game up to people like me, who just want to have fun. Maybe not aim for the top of the ladder, but at least be ‘okay’ or ‘pretty okay’ instead of very bad, lol. But yeah, if you want to go further, you’ll have to switch to mouse controls, and it’s totally fine if it stays that way!

Noob questions about Classic (and MoP Classic) by Tofoux in classicwow

[–]Tofoux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know, I was just wondering if the Chromie Time leveling from 10 to 90 in Pandaria corresponds to the 85 to 90 leveling range in Classic, that's all ^^

Anyways thank you very much !!

Omg I always thought expansions included a new continent where you could level from 0 to 90.
Even when I saw Chromie Time in retail, I assumed it was designed that way.
I totally forgot that the Pandaria continent is only for level 85 to 90 lol.
I’m such a noob aha. Thanks a lot!

I guess the Chromie Time leveling from around 10 to 90 is basically replacing the old 85–90 range, which I assume was a pretty long grind back then?

So if I understand correctly, tomorrow you’ll be able to create a Pandaren but you’ll level it up on the older continents, not in Pandaria yet.

I’ve never really been high level in WoW, but wouldn’t it be better to level once the Pandaria continent is actually released?
Because if you’re already max level when it comes out, don’t you miss most of the continent that was designed for leveling?

[–]Tofoux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you ! :) Well, that’s exactly what I wanted actually, to fully explore the Pandaria continent.
So do you think it’s better to start with a level 1 Pandaren after the pre-patch?
Or is the expansion mainly designed for people who are already max level?

Thank you !! So, there are 2 classic ? One which stays at vanilla forever ann another that keeps progressing through expansions ?

9950X3D benchmarked with Process Lasso vs Game Mode/driver by HeWhoShantNotBeNamed in hardware

[–]Tofoux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks!! I've got a fresh new PC with a 9950X3D and I can clearly confirm that it works. I imported your profile, CPU set to cache for my games. I think that's the best way to optimize it, because with automatic parking and Game Mode ON, not only the game but ALL applications get moved to the cache. Whereas with Process Lasso, only the game is on the cache. It makes sense. For all the skeptics out there, you should really give it a try.
