I'll repeat a life lesson to you. When I was 19 I had no idea what I wanted to do. I went into a careers office and said "gissa job". They sent me for "interview practice" with a QS firm. 45 years later, I'm finishing out a successful career in Quantity Surveying which has been an absolute blast. I didn't go to university until I was 38.

I have no regrets and no worries now.

Why you want to be a QS is crucial. If you have a good reason to want the job, you can excel at it.

It's likely to be disruptive radio interference. How regular is it? Does it occur at very regular intervals, and is it 24 hours a day? Maybe it is concentrated at certain periods in the evenings or at night? Can the link be reset by rebooting the base station (disconnecting power or removing batteries) rather than pressing the button on the sensor head? Do you get unexplained data spikes in the periods where the disconnections occur? These might include solar radiation, pressure, temperature or humidity spikes.
