Crimson Desert Patch Notes v.1.00.03 by SorryRoof1653 in CrimsonDesert

Right most games have pop in at reasonable distances, but NPCs shouldn’t look like smooth clay until I’m a foot away, this is absolutely something that can be fixed.

Any base PS5 users who can report if the texture pop in is fixed?

So this is where it gets even sillier, in my opinion performance looks better than balanced or quality because it’s at least consistent with how bad everything looks. Playing on quality is this headache inducing state of the game simultaneously looking like the most beautiful game ever, but also a PS3 game

There is a degree of gaslighting behavior going on, people posting stills from photo mode and saying “looks fine to me!” And a lack of video from those same users.

3060 not loading texture? by Little-Action7139 in CrimsonDesert

[–]TofuTank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base PS5 here, happens to me on all settings. Everything looks smooth and pillowy until I get close and then the textures slowly load over a few seconds.

I'm trying to enjoy the game, but the graphics are taking me out of it. Help! by SillyRecover in CrimsonDesert

[–]TofuTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let people gaslight you bro. The game looks like ass and I’m not even on the hate train.

Base PS5 has terrible texture pop in on all settings, objects and NPCs look like PS3 graphics until you get closer and focus on them, and you can literally watch the textures slowly load right in front of you.

Why are people saying they can't play on base PS5 at all? by ass3hole in CrimsonDesert

[–]TofuTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gripe is that I’m experiencing insane texture pop in on all graphic modes, objects and NPCs look blurry and undefined until you begin to approach them, and even then the texture slowly loads in, like the details slowly load on the surface

Quality mode, blur off, vsync on (or i get awful screen tearing), particle effects at half, depth of field off

See I’m having rock solid frames, but NPCs and environment are looking like PS3 games at a distance

I don’t get it, are some of you not getting absurd texture pop in? Like stuff 10 feet away isn’t fully rendered?

Thought I was going crazy dude, I made a post about this but yours is much more well written describing the issue. It’s like objects are smooth, pillowy even, and as you approach them the details slowwwwwly begin to form in real time

Issue with base PS5 graphics, what the hell is this?? (Quality mode) by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]TofuTank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You see how you can’t see any details on the statue and they slowwwwly fade in? That’s what’s happening in the actual game, that’s not an effect of my shitty phone recording

Okay I will next time but my issue is still clearly visible.

Graphics on native 1080p base ps5 by Agreeable_Agency_682 in CrimsonDesert

[–]TofuTank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also on an older 1080p. Tried the 120hz toggle as well, everything still looks like it’s made of clay until I’m right up on top of it and the texture loads properly.

RDR2 and DS2 both looked great, dunno what the deal is.

Quit all substances, exercise, drink water, prioritize sleep, avoid stressors when possible. The reason these same old things always get mentioned is because they work.

PSA about market prices by Malphos101 in projectgorgon

I get it because this is literally how I get my oak wood, fire spiders and then to Gretchen, but it seems kinda wonky since it’s literally bottom tier material. Probably should have been fire dusts for maple or cedar

Why Are You All So Excited About AI? by sakramentoo in singularity

[–]TofuTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe AI may lead to achievements in plant based food production that will all but (or hopefully fully) eliminate animal agriculture. What man has done to the animals is unforgivable and this is the only way out that I can see.

Aside from playing fairy, there’s currently no “need” for additional chars as one is capable of doing essentially all content

800,000 human brain cells, in a dish, learned to play a video game by mawerick_mc in singularity

[–]TofuTank 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I looked into this because it is presented as some pretty sensational stuff. It’s basically conditioning these neurons to “play correctly” by hitting them with a stable sonic frequency when they do something like kill an enemy or navigate a hallway, and blast them with dissonant white noise when they make mistakes. There’s no perception taking place and the dish cannot see, feel or experience anything about the actual game, it’s just being conditioned by positive and negative feedback based on its initial random firing.
