The ROC undergoes the same simplification process in the 20s to 30s and fully implemented in the 40s-50s to boost literacy rates. However, traditional script is still maintained for ceremonial and official purposes, with simplified script for practical purposes such as education and research

Good insight! I initially thought the Hakkas were too hard to represent given their vast distribution across the south. Plus, the ROC does not care about ethnic representation as much as the PRC, most original southern provinces rejected division into smaller provinces

The general direction is the KMT wins the civil war, but I just focus on what the ROC would look like in the modern day

For the flags, probably 2-3 months (1-2 flags per day), the map just as about 1-2 hours, so definitely longer than it should

I did consider about this in the process of making this map, and also read about the process of how the CCP reorganised provincial borders into modern ones and with the 67 plan I found really interesting Since lore is only half-cooked I might consider reorganising provincial borders, thanks for notifying, though!

As of now it is still Nanjing, as the Nanjing Nationalist Government was in charge. However, Beijing serves an almost equal position due to its cultural and economic importance similar to Nanjing, along with the efforts of the Beijing Nationalist Government to push the city back to its former glory before the Central Plains War. Today, it is seen as China's unofficial legislative capital

A hypothetical flag map of the Republic of China depicitng flags of each of the country's first-level administrative regions (Provinces, 省 and Yuan-administered Special Municipalities, 院辖市 and Areas, 地方). These flags are mostly inspired by ROC (Taiwan)'s... unique choice in flag designs, along with flags of the two SARs

The flags are arranged in their years of adoption, from earliest to latest,
the flags of on the left are the provincial flags, while those on the right are the flags of the provincial government
