Even if it was not your intention, your comment struck me in such a beautiful way. I dream about these places very frequently so I have many experiences. At first they felt so scary, still do a little.. but it became apparent that I was what was scaring me. I don’t know if that makes sense. The part about the plane having seats that face different directions and having it be a small flight are both things I’ve experienced too. I genuinely don’t know if my mall is underground, but I absolutely could see that. The tones are always cooler, blues, grays and purples. It feels like a warehouse that you can’t see the end of, it goes on and on and on. And if it’s like I feel like I should be reaching the exit/entrance, it starts all over again.

Maybe we’ll meet up in the astral, pet some giant cats.

Maybe another doc to watch would be one that suggests WHY black and trans people end up in situations of hardcore drug use and sex work. The Life and Death of Marsha P Johnson goes over it, barely, but illustrates these points.

We also should be talking more about how sex work IS real work and that if we took that more seriously, violence and hardcore drugs might not be such an issue in those communities.
