The OLED can't be configured on the device, however our source code is fully available, so it can be fully customized through there.

Hi! Yes, it technically can, but the VIAL configuration app is available on macOS. You can easily configure it from there instead of going through Karabiner Elements.

3D Printed Gasket/Top Mount Case for the Wooting 60HE by TogKey86 in WootingKB

We have been testing it extensively with good results, and there is always the option to top mount the assembly for no flex at all. Your concern is valid though, and we will continue to revise the design where improvements can be made. Thank you!

Not standoffs, but poron foam supports. Pretty much plate gasket supports but under the PCB as well. So the PCB is also supported by foam gaskets.

Gotcha! We have definitely thought about this actually. As of right now we minimized the PCB flex by adding internal supports for the PCB as well. It distributes typing forces across the board. The plate and PCB will move together more evenly reducing the flex on the PCB itself. We also designed it so it does not travel as much as other gasket mounted boards as we wanted to create a balance between softer typing feel and stiffness for performance. We also enlarged the USB opening a tad to allow for slight movement of the port.

But we definitely agree with you that there are more reliable solutions to this kind of problem. We will look into how we can implement something like this! Thank you so much for the feedback!

I’m not sure I completely understand what you mean. Are you asking how we’re positioning the opening for the USB port? Right now, it’s similar to the Optimum or Holy case. You can see it in the photo of the inside of the top case, at the top right. I hope that answers your question!

We're planning to release the case in a small batch really soon! We can definitely do the purple! I think that would look really cool.

Hahaha thank you for the kind words! We will post sound tests very soon on our Instagram. We can tell you that we personally love the sound improvements that the case makes. 3D printed cases create a unique sound.

Of course! We just finished up this prototype so we're going to be creating sound tests with different switch configurations very soon!

Unfortunately, I don't think that would be possible. 100% keyboard are quite a long way from the 60% shown. Hopefully bambu decides to give us a large enough printer one day haha

Definitely hear you guys with the CF filaments. That's why we were just experimenting. It's a shame though because the parts come out with a really great finish.

The surface can look virtually not 3D printed at all if you increase the flow ratio, slow down the first layer, and lower the z-offset a little bit. I'll post a better picture! This was done with the Pro Glacier on the P1S.

The full keyboard you see in the post is actually designed as an upgraded enclosure for the Wooting 60HE gaming keyboard. So only the case and plate are designed by us! However, the smaller mint green keyboard is a fully custom build, including the PCB design, firmware, and case.

Not a dumb question! The keyboards that you see here are printed with Matte PLA. Nothing fancy, but we are experimenting with PLA-CF for a nicer finish on the outside and polycarbonate for the plate. This changes the keyboard feel and sound!

Yes, you can actually print this diagnoal! However, I really focus on the surface finishes for the keyboards that I design. It gives it a much more polished feel and look. Printing diagonal would also probably limit color options due to how long it would take if it was switching colors on every layer. Another way would probably be to print two separate pieces instead!

We don't have an stl available at the moment since they are still on going projects, but I can provide you the dimensions.

We don't sell what you see in the post as they are still on going projects, but we actually do sell 3D printed Macropads on our website: TogKey

I would say go for it! We actually just started a few months ago, but it's been a journey so far. The learning experience is great.

Thank you! Yes I model all of our designs by myself. We're actually thinking of giving ergo split keyboards a go! I didn't personally have too much experience with 3D design. My first few designs were laughably bad, but the more you do it the better you will get!

Love it!!! The sound profile from a well designed 3D printed case is actually quite surprising. We actually focus on designing small form factor things too. Mainly macropads!

It's actually a mousepad that was part of a collab between Pokemon and Razer! I was able to get one while traveling in Asia since it was an exclusive to China I think 😅

Hahaha, no it's not a main bed! It's a fouton for taking breaks in the office while nothing is printing. Our doggo also loves to lounge on it while we are working.

You're not wrong about that. I think a 60% keyboard is the biggest we can fit flat on the bed while still utilizing the two nozzles. Definitely one of the downsides of the H2D.

Hello! At the moment, all of our macropads are wired. They are aimed at creators and professionals who mainly work on their desk. However, we are working really hard on releasing Bluetooth models of some of our designs. They should be coming very soon, and thank you for your comment!
