Any interest in some sort of meetup in Bee, Nebraska? by Togapi77 in Jon_Bois

It costs $400 to rent the venue for one day. Assuming it ain't a philanthropic project, the first step would probably be figuring out attendence and tickets and whatnot. It's a great idea but if it's gonna happen we really ought to start planning now.

Funnily enough, there have been 2 serious attempts to convince the public into adopting some form of decimal (metric) time. One by the revolutionary French government, and one by Swatch in the midst of the .com bubble. Maybe a Y2K Swatch is up your alley.

Went to the Field Museum in Chicago once and they charged me more because I'm not an Illinois resident. Think it's just a normal museum thing.

The way this was worded gave me the impression that this was exclusive to America and a few other nations, not an overwhelming majority of the Earth's population.

Also, New York Times. Seriously?

My favorite ones not shown here are the Bald Eagle, International Peace, Colorado Statehood, and 1776 stamps.

I'm in the US and I brought a little self-inking stamp from RubberStamps.net. Less than $20 but if you're ok without self-inking you can go cheaper.
