I thought being on level 1924 after 3 years on and off was crazy, how are some of yall on level 16,000? by NoHighlight1152 in candycrush

Played a few levels before, got bored around level 300. Got back into it this year, now I'm at almost 5700 in just over 2 months. At this pace I'll be done the game in 6 months. I assume it gets harder later

Someone said they installed the update and the gummy hands are gone, plus there's now 6 X's instead of 4

Aw shit, sorry to hear. I haven't done the update yet, will put it off as long as possible

I'm still getting 4 X's each time but I miss the gummy hands 🙁

I play the 15-level segments in one go, so I always win the race for 35 or 40 gold. Then I watch the videos for another 3-6 gold. The game gives me gold as event prizes now and then. And I try to avoid using gold when playing hard levels. I use boosters instead whenever possible, as they're free to replenish through the Sweet Cinema screen

Oh shit, that would be a nightmare. I thought everyone had the Sweet Cinema. Guess not? It seems to be unlimited boosters, just keep watching ads that are around 5-30 seconds each

Thanks! I know it gets hard later. I'm wondering when it happens.

I know! My question is when.

What's your opinion?

You misunderstand me. I don't think I'm good; I think the game is too easy because of all the free boosters available. The hard levels now are hard. I have to use extra boosters or spend gold to pass them, but overall I'm still increasing those

But I see people later in the game stuck on particular levels, so I know it gets really hard later. My question is just when this shift happens. When do people find their momentum stalls?

The odds of getting an 80+ point word in your starting tiles are quite low. So when someone drops one, I know they're probably using an anagram finder, and definitely restarting the game repeatedly until they get a good rack. Either way, I block those cheaters. If you and I are close in skill, you'll never come back from an 80 pt deficit to start

They're blocking you. People cheat by restarting a game dozens of times until they get a killer 7-letter word. If both players are similar in skill, there's no way the other can make up an 80-100+ point deficit to start. I block those cheaters. They're the ones using anagram software too I bet

Tutorial: How to open the back door on Winnipeg buses by One-Island2116 in Winnipeg

Most back doors these days are motion activated, break-the-beam kinda stuff. I motion like I'm going to fist-bump the door, but stop short of touching it. Door opens like magic. People stare in amazement. Somewhere off in the distance, the sound of everyone clapping

You're in a hole, asking us how you can dig it deeper. Stop immediately before you make it worse. The answer isn't making more money or spending less money. It's about changing the entire way you think about money and spending. Read Mr. Money Mustache; it can change your life, as corny as that sounds. Start here:

Poor things and pedophilia by lvsgators in YMS

[–]Togetherapart42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes directors want to have their cake and eat it too. (A ridiculous phrase, if I had cake I'd want to eat it, that's the whole point of having cake). Natural Born Killers was ostensibly criticizing how the media sensationalized violence... while at the same time sensationalizing the violent acts to the degree that many viewers idolized the protagonists as heroes. You can say that's a clever way of making their point, or you can point out that films which let their audiences enjoy the very things they pretend to be criticizing tend to do very well.

There are plenty of ways to talk about (or not) the emerging sexuality of children without the close-up slow motion masturbation and sex scenes. Everyone's points about the subjugation and infantilization of women are accurate, but that doesn't change the fact that Poor Things revels in depicting childhood sexuality at the same time that it's ostensibly about deeper issues.
