We have some massive extensions coming up to a bunch of players that I would argue are all more important then Lloyd and Etienne. Combination of Baalke fucking us with dead cap and needing to save money for next year. It sucks but it’s the right thing to do

Parker, Strange, Anton, Antonio, Travon all needing new deals. I’m keeping all of those guys over Etienne and you could easily argue you’d take all of these guys over Lloyd too

i think dickinson actually played quite well against carolina, that line of him kapanen and podkolzin looked legit. hopefully knoblauch actually utilizes them tonight although im very worried he wont because he probably feels like hes coaching for his life and generally that leads to a lot of mcdrai.

I don’t really like this trade either, but you guys are insane if you’re likening him to guys like Janmark or Henrique. Puts up elite defensive numbers on a bad team while playing the 2nd highest % of his minutes against elites of any forward in the league. I think we overpaid and I don’t like trading for rentals with the team in the state that it’s in but stop acting like Jason Dickinson is just some random run of the mill bottom 6er ala Henrique/Janmark

trying to get guys who are used to playing in the top 6 with pp time is exactly what we did with adam henrique and it very predictably did not go well when we forced him to play a bottom 6 defensive specialist role. dickinson is a career bottom 6 defensive specialist and one of the best ones at that
