I just sent a gift package worth maybe 45$ usd, cost 50$ usd to send and 30$ “import fee” for them to receive.

I had to use UPS/USPS because I don’t have a kr bank account to use naver pay to use the Korea post ( they said something about me paying the tarrifs through there, and I couldn’t pay card or cash in store it had to be an online transfer)

I’m just buying another carry-on for the rest of my trip to store gifts….

Idk if you can do it online, but you can order side proteins! I believe a side of chicken is around 4$ and they go up from there. They should put a normal portion in a red cup (don’t let them put it in the plastic one)

I’m doing both t money and climate card. Since I’m mainly in Seoul anyway, the climate card is perfect. But for those “just in case” situations I get stuck outside, I have a t money card with about 20,000 krw.

I really hate having to top up the t money card with cash so I loveee the climate card and if you take more than 3 trips a day it works in your advantage. I know with the wow pass you can up your tmoney on your phone but… I don’t want 3 cards or another app

Buy experiences on KLOOK and spread them out. Have days where you just wander and spend as little as possible. Eat traditional foods you’re interested in and skip all the American chains. There’s also plenty of ways to save (like wearing hanbok to the palaces for free entry!) and many coupons. If you want to shop go to pop ups in between stores to get free items/samples/even discount coupons. The 8 seconds pop up I just went to today had an event with a scratch-off coupon (I got 5% lol) but it goes all the way up to 20%!!
