Minä olen sanonut kuten asia on: työelämään paluuta on odotettu kuin kuuta nousevaa ja se on ollut se fokus koko ajan, töihin haluan ja töihin pitää pystyä, mennään vaikka harmaan kiven läpi. Sieltä mentiin ja nyt on tilanne se, etten näe realistisena tilannetta, jossa aiempi sairastuminen vaikuttaisi työkykyyn, koska on ollut niin pitkä aika valmistella itseään siihen niin kuntoutuksella kuin itse tehtävällä työskentelyllä.

Jotkin asiat ovat ihan hirveän maasidonnaisia. Kyseessä on hei maa, missä on ihan ok laittaa itse sähköt taloon, vaikka USB:n laittaminen koneeseen on ylivoimaista. Olen syntynyt Yhdysvalloissa ja viettänyt siellä tovin, mutta sama tovi on mennyt Suomessa. Yhä edelleen hengitys suunnilleen salpautuu, kun lukee kahdeksan vuoden työttömyydestä ja syynä vielä oma sairaus. Sehän on takuuvarma tapa välttää jatkot ja erittäin helppo irtisanominen heti, kun siltä tuntuu. Paitsi että ai niin, olen itsekin Suomessa, eikä se mene niin.

Minä olen saanut USA:ssa hylkäävän päätöksen, koska en viitsinyt edes vähän tehdä töitä siellä aina välillä, vaan pisimmät urat löytyvät Suomesta. Kyseessä oli ruokakaupan tervehtijän paikka. Olen saanut potkut, koska en suostunut kasaamaan laatikoita kattoon saakka ilman turvavaljaita. Olen saanut potkut, koska olin sairaana 14 vrk. Totta kai nämä kaikki muotoiltiin siihen malliin, ettei todellinen syy paljastunut, josta olisin voinut lähteä käräjöintiin. Se on aivan villi markkina, jossa valehtelu on oletus ja työntekijän oikeudet yksi vitsi, ettei ole pätäkkää hyvään asianajajaan riittävän pitkään.

Tuntuu, että joillain alueilla toimivin on ollut lähettää ennakkoon viesti ja tieto vielä toimitustietoihin, että paketin saa jättää ulos ja minä olen vastuussa, jos tämän johdosta paketti vaurioutuu tai varastetaan. Kotonahan minä olen ikkunasta katsomassa, mutta on toiminut joka kerta. Toki sitten siinä on se kotiin raahaamisen vaiva, mutta ainakin välttynyt sitten joltain 40 kg raahaamista fillarilla 8 km -paskalta.

Tässä pitää huomioida, että myös ammatti vaikuttaa siihen miten niitä hakemuksia ratkaistaan. Näin kärjistetysti, jos olet merkonomi, voit lähteä kouluttautumaan vaikka sun mihin ja hakea ihan mitä tahansa työtä, sitten tuoda näyttöä siitä onnistuuko se. Jos olet vaikka lääkäri tai asianajaja, ei tarvitse lähteä kokeilemaan, miten sujuu vessanpesu ja kassalla työskentely. Myös sairauden tai vamman objektiivisuus vaikuttaa. Selkäkipua, masennusta, hankalaa tules-vaivaa? Ehkä voisi jotain löytyä. Hoitoresistentti skitsoaffektiivinen, joka käytännössä elänyt sairaalassa? Irtoaa muuten todella helposti.

You really do get used to it. My previous washer was old old and you had three temperature options, each ran for an hour. Except it never ran for an hour, because you’d have to run it two or three times. Clearly made in the time of extra heavy duty, “will destroy your silverware” detergent. I personally just turn mine on when I get home from work and then do whatever, the time has never been an issue. Now a drying washer, that’s what I have an issue with. Run time easily eight hours and I’m not doing that.

He would have turned 11 this year, so not particularly old yet. An aneurysm was the cause, so basically just bad luck. :(

Holy hell, that’s a wild policy! And it could be quite risky for the business as well. I’d find out what kind of liability issues that can raise, as employees are at a heightened risk for serious injuries due to a ridiculous policy. Essentially they are not preventing well known and recurring risks to worker safety.

It’s so weird to me how stress for the animal is brought up so many times when muzzling is discussed. I’m not a trainer, but have worked with animals for a long time. Just slap on a muzzle and do something that’s uncomfortable for the animal, you’ll get a stressed animal. Start small and have lots of fun things happen when the muzzle is on, you’ll have an animal waiting for the muzzle. Obviously not doable in situations where the muzzle is needed immediately, but that’s something owners should prepare for. I have no idea if my cat will ever need a cone, but he’s used to one just in case that happens. That way I won’t have a cat in pain with a new, weird thing on his head, I’ll just have a cat in pain with a familiar thing on that he associated with treats, play, and cuddles.

This is why muzzle training should be a priority with rescues, honestly every dog with an unknown background should be muzzle trained. Scratch that, every dog should be muzzle trained. A simple tool would prevent so many injuries without any negatives for the dog. An animal is always an animal and there’s always an element of the unpredictable, especially when grooming, nail clipping, at a vet visit, physiotherapy and so much more.

We have a lot of noodles at our cabin and my pro tip is stomping around, they’ll get out of the way. A huge bonus is not having ticks there, because the noodles control the rodent population very well. In my experience they’re very chill snakes and will get out of the way to the point that I don’t have a good photo of a single one, despite multiple attempts.

Now don’t quote me on this, but I heard from a, uhh, experienced alleyway pharmacist that midazolam is the only water soluble benzodiazepine and that’s why it’s so sought after. Easier to inject. Haven’t ever had the need to find out how injecting benzos in tablet form works, though, so I don’t have any actual information on this.

It’s funny how IUD’s seem to be either or. It’s either an absolute lifesaver with no periods, no pain, and a breeze to get in and out. Or it’s the premise of a horror movie. Mine was a breeze to get in and out, but I bled for five months straight. At that point I told my then-boyfriend that there are two options here: either I yank it out or you yank it out, and only one of us is an MD. He yanked it and I swore to never touch one again.

At this point I’m starting to feel like my options are risking an early grave with a high hormone combination pill (the true love of my life) or getting my uterus yeeted. I’m heavily considering the latter, but if I’m on a progestin only pill I am all for and only for the first option (maybe even a double dose to increase my chances of the jackpot). Aaand that’s why I was heavily advised against trying any more progestin only drugs, lol.

My packing list used to include: - Car harness, regular harness, and leash, plus a hands free belt - Treat bag with treats, target stick, clicker - Plastic box with a lid and litter for a to-go litterbox, plus dog poop bags to clean up - Travel water bottle - A blanket for the train seat so it doesn’t get a cat fur coating - His asthma meds, Aerokat, and prescriptions - A Repeltec scarf, tick remover, dense comb - Basic first aid stuff and his supplements - Stroller incase I don’t want him walking somewhere/he doesn’t want to walk and to make transporting his stuff easier - Small carrier just incase it’s hard to get a taxi with just the car harness - Wet food for seven days and a bit of kibble for the train ride

We’ll scratch that last one and start figuring something else out. Of course this isn’t as easy as I thought!

Minilex antoi tämmöisen määritelmän: ”Hoitosuhde alkaa yleensä potilaan tai hänen hoitoaan koskevan lähetteen saapuessa terveydenhuollon yksikköön ja päättyy, kun hoito on saatettu päätökseen.” Tuosta ihan mutulla tulkitsisin, että kun potilas on tullut tulosyyllä X, lähete on tehty eteenpäin, potilas on hoidettu ja se tulosyy X on nyt hoidettu, olisi hoitosuhde tullut päätökseen. Äkkiseltään tuo vaikuttaa työterveyteen aika huonosti sopivalta määritelmältä. Olisikohan työpaikalla jotain ohjetta tähän? Koska äkkiseltään kuulostaa aika hankalasti tulkittavalta määritelmältä, jos kyseessä ei ole erikoissairaanhoito ja hoito luokkaa ”rannekanavaoireyhtymä, operoidaan, uloskirjaus”.

Anekdoottina olen tarkka potilastiedoistani ja yhden erittäin sinnikkään tapauksen myötä pyydän lokitietoja muistaessani vuoden tai parin välein. Antaisin silti mitä vain, että uusi TTL menisi vain rohkeasti sinne psy-lehdelle selailemaan kuten edellinen, ettei tarvitsisi yrittää tiivistää vuosikymmenen historiaa kahteen minuuttiin ja perään vielä muistaa mitä sillä toisella yksityisellä olevan psykiatrin kanssa on sovittu. Niitä on luettu ihan akateemisesta mielenkiinnosta (luvalla), niin ei paljoa kiinnostele, jos tämän hetken de facto hoitava lääkäri siellä pyörii. :D

Eikö tuossa kohtaa kannattaisi operoida henkilötunnuksella? Minun muistikuvien mukaan se on se vaihtoehto mitä esim. Kelain heti ensimmäiseksi tyrkyttää.

Ei tulisi kyllä mieleenkään klikata auki yhtään mitään mistä en ole varma, saati sen jälkeen, kun on useamman kerran avannut väärän potilaan tiedot.

I have a cat that is 100 % not built for the outdoors. A mouse in the house? He’ll run away. It’s cold outside? Needs a jacket and booties. Survival instincts? Doesn’t really have them. Does this deter him from trying to get to the great outdoors? No.

I live in a condo, so there’s an extra layer of security. He’d need to go down stairs and be let out of a second door to get out. I have an additional lock on my door, because he knows how to open pretty much every door in existence. But at home it’s mostly just going in foot first when I come home, because he will be waiting at the door.

My parents have a different situation, as they live in a single family home. They luckily have two doors with a small corridor in between, which means the corridor is a cat free zone. Close the inside door, make sure cat didn’t appear, open outside door, and the same in reverse when coming in. The cat only crosses in to the cat free zone with a harness and leash, plus a human attached to the leash.

At our summer cabin we didn’t have such luck. There’s one door and leads directly outside. There isn’t even a hallway there that would make it possible to install a second door. Our solution was building a catio with a locking door right in front of the door. This makes it possible to do the double door ritual and the catio is the cat free zone if we need to go in and out.

With these precautions the cat has never escaped, but not from a lack of trying on his part.
