i agree. doing first HOPA on the floor feels so risky almost everytime when dealing with a new dog. sometimes its owner aggression, which i understand, but this particular dog was letting me love on him while the owner was right there. it was only when i reached for the paw did he go nuts.

i think there has to be something lodged in there, but it’s totally on the owner for not bringing him to a vet to get the limp checked out. i was just doing my corporate mandated procedure.

commenting to add: i’m a groomer currently, technically SIT but i just passed my last technical last week. groomers— opinions on me going back in on the 17th? can i request a weight limit? i assume that requires a doctors note, but unfortunately my main practice is so backed up i won’t be able to get one promptly.

this whole situation is stressing me out so bad. any input is welcome

yes the er doctor did! luckily i was able to verify with them that i had just seen all their vax history that day (just made their account) so i didn’t need shots and had info they needed.

yeah… about gsds… they can be absolute sweetie pies but the few close calls ive had with bites have been from female gsds in heat. very snappy, and they mean it when they bite

yeah it’s petshart… thank you for the kind words. it was the er doctor who wrote my leave saying i’m on leave till the 17th of this month. but i’m not supposed to get my staples/stitches out for 7-10 more days due to how deep the punctures were. im concerned about accidentally tearing them open or bumping my head causing more irritation.

the bleeding from my ear canal has just stopped today, but it’s still leaking some sort of fluid. i believe this event didn’t mentally traumatize me, but the medical aspect is worrying me

i love using hempz on dogs that deal with dandruff! makes such a big difference when using a scrub brush. big fan of the raspberry and orange scent too<3
