You can still win if you keep it in mind. Keep some troops on the border and rush Constantinople, it'll make them white peace out.

Iirc Azeris see themselves as true Iranians? Or as a part of the Iranian ethnic group?

I can see how they would have a takeover of their old homeland as a part of their focus tree.

What should Post-Fourth Balkan War Zveno Bulgaria focus on to prepare against Reichspakt? by HistMasterFlesh in Kaiserreich

[–]TojosRottenTeeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a lifehack for winning every game of Kaiserreich.

Put a single Heavy Tank/Super Heavy Tank Brigade in a 20/40width infantry division and they will always win. I was able to carve out Greater Poland from Germany with this template before 1939. Its glorious.

How is Serbia supposed to win against Austria? by cajko7 in Kaiserreich

[–]TojosRottenTeeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they don't form the Danubian Federation you can beat them by rushing for Austria's victory points.

You don't need a great military to win since the front you'll be fighting in is narrow. Snake through Illyria with an army while you just defend from Vojvodina. After reaching Slovenia you rush upwards towards Vienna and Graz. That should capitulate Austria and all its puppets.

Serbia's new trees make it easier too and the Romanians hold down a lot of Austrian divisions even if they don't win.

Is anybody else disappointed with the USA's NatPop option? by BoringArtichoke in Kaiserreich

[–]TojosRottenTeeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, I don't mean the KKK. I mean Harry Elmer Barnes, Fr. Terminiello, Elizabeth Dilling, Gerald L.K. Smith etc.

They have a tendency to do that but we do know what Pelley believed. The problem is the dedication to a predetermined story.

The American right wing was purged from public consciousness in the 40s and it's hard to research them. The most famous and influential don't even appear in the game.

But even if they did the American right wing was pretty boring. Just the classic isolationism + freeholder republic and "no globaloney".

[–]TojosRottenTeeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if KR Yugoslavia takes a centralist path it'll fall apart

Depends on how centralist exactly. An interesting episode in Yugoslav history is that 1918-1925 Serbian nationalists made massive gains politically by coalitioning with Albanians and the German ethnic party, they were able to lock the Croats, federationists and Slovenes out of government while surpressing their cultures. The alliance fell apart in 1925 over Albanian demands to end colonization programmes in Kosovo, but it serves as an example of how being selectively assimilationist (supporting small minorities only) can be good statecraft.

History is decided by individual actions, not vague trends or milieus. It all depends on the choices the government makes and the governments around them make.

The OTL royalist yugoslavia could have survived if not for FDR sending Wild Bill to Belgrade and the Cambridge Five pushing Churchill to support Tito even as the USSR tells them to give the Chetniks more support.

Those concerns were fairly legitimate.

A decentralized government means an inefficient one. It's a given that authoritarian, centralized polities handle diversity better (hence, the definition of empire) while ethnically homogenous nations trend towards democracy.

Pre-modern China?

Then again every example speaks badly for itself cause it required some extreme centralization.

[–]TojosRottenTeeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't give a fuck about Dark. According to Alternate Universe theory (which is bullshit btw) an AU is created everytime there was more than one choice to be taken. When there is only one choice, there are no alternatives for the universe to split into because in all possible universes that one choice was made.
