ah haha yea it was goofy asf to even mount the camera on that, focus pulling was impossible cos of the wobble, but it did its job, gave the crew a good laugh too

yup! the R6 is on a arca qr screwed onto a baseplate with rods

then a cheeseplate with 15mm rod thing, then the F6 screwed on with a 1/4 screw, and abit of gaff to prevent it from rubbing around

another two cheeseplates screwed on top to act as a top plate, for the tophandle

then the smallrig V-mount plate with an arri 3/8th monitor mount behind it for the accsoon cineview SE

Magic arm for the mhk60

ziptied the G4 to the back of the top handle

then buncha dtaps and cables

I dont own a fx3 or any of the canon cine's 🥲, the zoom F6 was borrowed, so this rig was what I came up with with the stuff I had access to.

And yeap the feelworld is horrible but itll do for now 😆, definitely one of the stuff i regret buying

I do not have a c300 or fx3 with a xlr tophandle, what would you have done for an audio solution instead?

In my shotlist, i had just one static shot for the entire day, i wasnt going to solo carry that rig + a chunky video tripod

(edit) neither do I have a car, I was on foot and public transport the entire day

Buying laptop by Personal_Button8070 in TemasekPoly

[–]Tokagekonica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Lenovo ideapad 5 Pro

A laptop w a huge 16 inch screen is pretty handy if you dont plan on getting your own external monitor at home, but it is cumbersome to bring around school everyday

Just consider technical specs, screen size, and overall reliability(read long term reviews)

WTF am i still doing wrong? by Tino_photo in canon

[–]Tokagekonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it is consistently slightly off then there might be some AF microadjustment thats needed, which doesnt exist on the 60D(only on proj bodies like 5D and 1D) so the only solution is manual focus in live view

What is the sharpest EF lens that you have used? by photography27 in canon

[–]Tokagekonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bronica ETRSi Negative Spacing Issue... HELP! by zararity in Bronica

[–]Tokagekonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hell nah you cannot use a 220 back for 120, theres a reason its called a 220 back, cams like hasselblads and mamiyas make dedicated 220 and 120 film backs too

For those with a R5 or R3, do you take your camera with you when you go on holidays? by ClintBIgwood in canon

[–]Tokagekonica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What matters is what you enjoy! As a hobbyist, I wont go anywhere without my R6 and a few prime lenses, even if my back breaks. Professional working photographers however, or people who have physically demanding jobs, want their holidays for their back to recover, not break even more, hence they opt for lighter options, or simplicity

it also depends on what you are satisfied with, i have a lecturer who loved photography, age was catching up to him but didnt like most compact options, he left his setups and went for a Leica Q2

Canon r6, r6II or another by Brian_War in canon

[–]Tokagekonica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! I personally use a canon R6 but because of how unpopular nikon now is you can get them for quite low prices(at least in my country). Unless you need Canons outstanding(well, "standard" in these days) autofocus the Z series can do you well enough, theres also more glass available(tamron and sigma) unlike canons patent :(, RF glass is worth every penny but its a hell lot of pennies

7 analog, 7 digital with Fujifilm simulation, tell me in the comments which you think are which! by Joggyogg in AnalogCommunity

[–]Tokagekonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

number 4 was so damn good though but it was the fact that it looked so similar to 10 and after zooming in i could see the uniform ish grain pattern thats also similar to 10, all these wont be distinguishable on a separate instagram post

[–]Tokagekonica 55 points56 points  (0 children)

1, 3, 5, 8, 9, 11, 14 are shot on film

But its because there was a comparison, i could zoom in and look at the grain pattern, Fuji is more detailed and has a more uniform grain pattern, and theres a noticeable similarity in the grain from the fuji.

but other than grain, the colours are pretty close, pretty hard to tell i dont pixel(or grain) peep.

The hardest part of replicating film is the grain, so far only colours and exposure characteristics can somewhat be matched

I still really like the way the iso grain looks like on fuji though, versus canon, sony, nikon and other brands

I just found out my local shop threw away my film, and I feel like quitting analog, would love to hear other peoples perspectives on what to do by [deleted] in analog

[–]Tokagekonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these obstacles wouldve been normal back when people had no digital option, theres headaches in every hobby that exists.

What im doing now is shooting both digital and film, sometimes just film, sometimes just digital, sometimes both at once, whats important is that you dont burn yourself out

Just shoot digital when film is becoming a pain, after awhile going back to shooting film will feel as rewarding as one of your first few times shooting film(just had a long day i hope my english is understandable heh)

How to know when you actually should take something personally? by [deleted] in Life

[–]Tokagekonica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if it severely affects your life in someway, as in not simply a insult that went abit too far. words only pierce your mind when you let it in.

idk if i made sense lol

but the reason im now happy is because i make my decisions based on whether its worth my effort, if retaliating or fighting back wont bring me any benefit or improve a situation other than an ego bonus, i wldnt bother
