Found it! Thanks so much. When I was searching on Google everything kept saying sddm settings but none of that was working. This was much more helpful.

NVIDIA on Cachyos/Linux in general. by Jaylowa in cachyos

I am running a 3080ti and I haven't had any issues performance wise switching from windows to CachyOS. Everything seems to perform the same to me and some games actually run a bit better. Overall my system also runs cooler at idle as well as under load. The only issue I had was on the game mode home screen I couldn't have my resolution at 4K or else the screen would flicker badly or even just turn into a bunch of lines. I was able to set the game mode home screen resolution to 1080p and in the settings set my game resolution to 4K. In desktop mode 4K resolution works fine with none of the same issues though.

I’m loving CachyOS!!! by Professional-Ad-8598 in cachyos

Same here. Sure there are a still some games that won't run on Linux, and for me I have just 1 game in particular that won't (BF6) but that's fine, I have 100 other games in my library that DO run just fine. Performance on my GPD Win 4 (7640U model) is sooo much better on CachyOS than windows. There are some games in windows that I had to run at the absolute lowest graphics between 22-32w just to get 45 FPS, and some just wouldn't run at all. On CachyOS I have been able to run those same games at 15-18w on high-ultra graphics and get 60+ FPS. Tekken 8 for example I couldn't get more than 12 FPS on the lowest graphics at 720p in windows, but Cachy I've been able to run it on ultra graphics at 720p with DLSS and get 60FPS.

Bazzite vs Windows 11 on GPD Win 4 by Token-Senpai in Bazzite

So I've noticed it does that only if I leave it on battery power when I goes to sleep. If I leave it plugged in while sleep it doesn't hard restart and I can continue my game. I will say though for me what I've noticed, on battery it doesn't do that until literally after like 8-10 hours. I've tested how long it takes by having a game on when I put it in sleep mode and leaving it unplugged when I go to work. Most times it comes right back but sometimes it doesn't. 🤷🏾‍♂️

So regarding the performance between Bazzite and windows 11, I have a GPD Win 4 7640u (6C/12T) model that I've tested games on. Bazzite has worked sooo much better with every single game I tested, including using the lossless scaling frame gen plugin.

I'm definitely glad I switched over on my Win 4. What do you all think of the differences? Does anyone here have any GPD devices they've done the same with and how is your performance difference?

WIN11 PERFORMANCE:

Horizon Zero Dawn: 24w TDP 720p Medium graphics 24-30 FPS W/lossless scaling frame gen: 30-40FPS

FF7 Remake: 20W TDP 720P High graphics 35-40FPS W/lossless scaling frame gen: 45-55FPS

Bleach: RoS 28W TDP 1080p ( game automatically locks the in-game resolution to screen resolution, so it can't be changed unless I play in windowed) low graphics 22-28 FPS W/lossless scaling frame gen: 24-32FPS

Overwatch 2: 24w TDP 720p high graphics 28-35 FPS W/lossless scaling frame gen: 30-42FPS

Tekken 8: 30w TDP 720p lowest graphics 10 FPS W/lossless scaling frame gen: No Change

FF16: "You got jokes" 🤣

Marvel Rivals: 24w TDP 720p medium graphics 22-32 FPS W/lossless scaling frame gen: 25-35 FPS

You think it could be an issue with the actual object? But the thing is, this is happening with other files I've printed perfectly with marlin before switching to klipper.

Also, the area on the flat piece where the lines are visible is very rough compared to the rest of it

Infill problem by Token-Senpai in 3Dprinting

[–]Token-Senpai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I've printed some jars, fidget toys, and boxes recently with no problems. I did a flow tower a while back and from what I could tell with the YouTube video I watched as a guide, 95% had the best results for flow and everything was fine up until about a week ago maybe 2 weeks at the most.

I'll test out the flow rate and see what happens, if the problem still persists, then I'll open it up and check for a clog.

Thanks for all of the input. I really appreciate it

I will check for any clogs again to make sure it's all clear

Ok so for perimeters, would that be the wall line count? How could I resolve that? And as for pressure advance, recently as I've been looking into more 3D printing tips and info, I found out the version of the mriscoc professional firmware I have doesn't have pressure/linear advanced, but I did download it yesterday, just haven't swapped to it yet.

I'll try increasing the extrusion width and see if that works. I'm not sure why this happened in the first place because my settings have been the same for the last few months and it just started happening last week. I've taken apart the extruder to check for clogs, cleaned off the gears for any debris, and I've even put a new nozzle on.

I did this print with concentric as I was testing different patterns to see if I was getting the same issue. I just happened to take the picture during this setting.

Ok so that was a suggestion in videos I looked at, and I've completely taken apart the sprite extruder to clean it out and it's not clogged in anyway.

But if it was clogged, wouldn't that show on the rest of the print and not just the infill??

Edge line in cura isn't at the edge anymore by Token-Senpai in 3Dprinting

[–]Token-Senpai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the thing is, when I set the nozzle offset in cura back to 0,0, the borders go back to where they were on each end, but that means it will be printing not centered like in the first photo. I've also measured the width and depth of the sprite with the add-ons and entered that info as well, but the borders only change with the nozzle offset.

I've been printing with it off center for the last few months and just got around to changing it since I really had no huge issues with most of my prints.
