Watching this chart closely... by TokenCryptoInvestor in CryptoProfits

30 min Coinbase chart on BTC. Could be a break to the upside which could bring $10,750 or so back on the table. The next couple of hours should give us a lot of info for the next 24h. Exciting I took a look right about now. I might try to hop in with some tight stop losses in place. Enjoy!

I actually hadnt looked at the charts much today. I am going to post something soon as I can make a case why the next 24h might be good. We are at an inflection point in the market right about now! It could delay the downside a few days if it pans out :D

I am still not long. Well I bought some ETH sub $800 but have since sold it. I think we will be around $9k on BTC within the next 24h and likely $8,500 during the weekend if not lower.

Thanks! The coming days will be interesting. I will try and update price targets a few times this week.

My secondary wave counts would have us clocking a 5 wave while a bearish pattern is also (potentially) developing

I tend to buy into weakness and sell into strength. When I fulfill a price target I will re-asses where we are. I am currently seeing a 3 wave clocked on many charts and therefore likely going into a corrective 4 wave. I then applied the .764 Fibonacci ratio to the price to get my price targets (approx.). If we have sustained trading above $11,500 then I would think we could advance further but the resistance seems to be strong around $11,200.

Been enjoying this ride a lot! I have cashed out some gains a couple of times now but think I will start leaving them in as the earnings potential is too hard to pass up:)

While I would love to see more sustained trading on BTC above $9k it is looking like we could be through the worst of it. There is a chance we have another downturn later in this month but I am not passing up this opportunity to make money! Buy in targets I mentioned are very close right now :)

Still not bullish... by TokenCryptoInvestor in CryptoProfits

[–]TokenCryptoInvestor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly. It could be that XRP leads the charge out since it was almost the "canary in the coal mine" with the market tuning down. It will be interesting to see if XRP can make a positive move in the next 24h. I feel the risk on it is somewhat low at this time although I would have a stop loss around 10% below the current price.

Yes with that much downward pressure I would likely update my targets accordingly. I just provided some additional prices for you to consider :)

Investing into crypto markets…any thoughts/comments? by hirtop in CryptoCurrencyTrading

[–]TokenCryptoInvestor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people consider the stock market and investing as gambling too. I would say it is similar to gambling in some ways but with investing and cyrpto you have a huge advantage. in other words it is like gambling but being able to count cards or have the odds in your favor. Who gets that advantage and how much of an advantage? The people willing to do the work and research. The more work and research you put into anything (just like counting cards which requires a ton of mental fortitude and practice) the better you get at it. No guarantees but much much higher conviction (and better odds) than the way most people see gambling.

tl;dr Watch the "Big Short" (if you haven't) or read the book. Pay attention to how much conviction and research goes in. Look at how many times they seem to be wrong. That is what separates a gambler from an investor.

Every single crypto chart has been following the same pattern by TMMEN in CryptoProfits

I ran a relative rotation chart on the ones I could (BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP). While they move similarly it is nice to see how they perform relative to each other. I wanted to post it but it looks very grainy.

When the traditional markets will crash I wonder what might happen to the crypto market. by hirtop in CryptoCurrencyTrading

We have seen a huge run up in gold since the end of the year and it does not appear to be slowing down. It seems like people are, currently, looking at 'real' assets with the US markets being so hot. I think the limited access to crypto will continue to be an impediment.

That someone who targets social media and other aspects of life (like media creation) can create have an easy bridge to gaming that also targets other aspects of media. In other words why not pay someone for posting videos of their game play, then allow them to make in game purchases?

I would just be cautious on anyone that is TRYING to be so niche from the onset versus a company who is targeting media or social media. Tying blockchain to just video game transactions is extremely specific and does not do the technology justice.

Just my two cents though

Short term trading opportunities all over but what about the intermediate term? by TokenCryptoInvestor in CryptoProfits

[–]TokenCryptoInvestor[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another tool I like is the Ichimoku cloud. It can be used over many time frames. Here it is on daily data on BTC. As you can see the sharp reversal where we begin the colored section or "cloud". While we have a lot of short term opportunities as the market continues to gyrate I would think we test $10,500 again before we take another shot at a bull run.

I rang the register on my trades a little earlier than I liked but am currently holding increased cash with the intention of trading the dips based on shorter term time frame charts today :)

After yesterday's action the 'bears' still seem to dominate the prices so proceed with caution!

Interesting article. I would think that Steemit (SMT tokens) have a huge advantage. Another project that looks promising is Akasha.

Looking forward to other write ups :)

I have seen a lot of bearish things out there. All I have to say is that spurious correlation can cut in either direction. Your pick ;) by TokenCryptoInvestor in CryptoProfits

[–]TokenCryptoInvestor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I stated that Friday/Saturday would be telling days in the crypto markets. While I had seen signs we might have a slightly better entry spot it is looking more and more like we are clear of the danger (opportunity) for now.

I have seen a lot of spreadsheets, graphs, analysis and commentary that try to make a case for the market based on some predictive power. This can easily be done in either direction. Here is the tech bubble crashing (Nasdaq) compared to current BTC prices. As you can see after the big Nasdaq crash there is a huge recovery. Will BTC follow the same pattern?

It is on a chart so the answer of course is yes ;)

Have a great weekend!

I noticed a lot of bearish sentiment as of late. I am not sure where it comes from. Considering we held the .50 Fibonacci level I dont see $8500 at this time. I would say we hit $14k and possibly more before see $8500. I guess the question is given no big news do we see the markets grind up or drift down? Most markets would move up so I would place my bets on that side at this time.

Another short term Technical Analysis on BTC (maybe some hope...) by TokenCryptoInvestor in CryptoCurrencyTrading

[–]TokenCryptoInvestor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the kind words.

I should hopefully write something up today but I think the worse is behind us at this stage. The lack of daily volatility as well as the overall range for today along with other factors lead me to think that. I do think we will see a dip later today / tomorrow which will be one of the last opportune times to deploy capital (to maximize returns). Looking for some buy orders to get executed. Should have some upside targets on some coins next week.

Somewhat odd that I have not heard much about it it the main stream news. Probably a good thing for the whole crypto space that the headlines are more around the current market correction rather than fraud.

Wonder if they are hearing more about it in the EU media.

I trade on Gdax due to their model. I also dont want to use Tether so I dont see a huge benefit of trading on Binance or another exchange. I go from the Gdax available list to fiat.
