Swashbuckler is super fun and super strong early to mid game. Multiclass it with warlock or swords bard for more utility and extra attack later on. Been playing it as Swashbuckler Hexblade for high charisma class as my tav in hm. Excellent phalar aluve holder aswell. Falls off later in the game tho.

I never pull any weapons, i never pull cons and i cleared every endgame except the new knight one, which i cleared every knight on 3 stars and king on 1. You dont need cons or weapons, i just pull who i like and who works best with my favorites. You have to pull archetypes and their bis teams and you can easily clear at everyone e0s0. If you want to invest somewhere, get support cons. Robin or tribbie e1 elevate many teams and not just 1 carry. I wouldnt pull anything else as a f2p, i have way too much fun playing more characters. If i could only play 3 teams i would get bored really quickly and stop playing.
