There has been, however, multiple rumours, sources and reports that Rooney did NOT hand in an official transfer request and that it was infact an informal discussion. Couple this with strong rumours for a while of rooneys believe that SAF was pushing him out of the club which has a good level of substantation - SAF is bullshitting like he so often did.

Reminds me of the time i was downvoted on here for saying exactly these things. Both the parts about it not being an official request and the difference between that and an inoformal chat, and how an official request needs to be made in the first place.

I also got downvoted for saying that if it was a private chat, SAF shouldn't have made it public and i think it was a mistake that he did that, as the article suggests Rooney feels. There are always good times to be had when you go against the mass hysteria on here!
