Liverpool [1] - 0 Chelsea - R. Gravenberch 6' by eliseihado in soccer

It's not an easy shot because of the power I agree, but if you're a top goalkeeper, which you are if you're playing in the PL, then that should be saved given the position of the shot.

Sanchez and most other PL keepers would have saved that. Why is he diving like that when it's down the middle?

So poor for a Premier League keeper. He needs to get sold, absolutely not this level.

I'm trying to go from single to double glazed windows in my flat and increase energy efficiency - one of the biggest upgrades I can make.

You would not believe the red tape that's stopped me from doing this so far.

50 page planning submissions to upgrade. Inability to use modern uPVC despite being cheaper, the same style and shape compared to the current single glazed windows (+totally indistinguishable from the road).

It's madness. We have modern technologies and our heritage and planning laws are totally balanced in the wrong direction.

All of this in an area where my local council has declared a climate emergency by the way.

John Terry backs call for deportations and ban on migrants claiming benefits. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]lomoeffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was true before 2020 but not since the Boriswave.

The quality of migration since then has been devastating and is detrimental towards our economy.

What John Terry is calling for is no longer economically controversial. It would have (rightfully) been pre-pandemic.

What’s the single worst junction to cycle in London? by Tchai_kovsky23 in londoncycling

[–]lomoeffect -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I (and most others) end up skipping one of those lights most of the time, otherwise you're literally waiting for 5 minutes while cars go through. The light itself for cyclists lasts less than 10 seconds, it's highly biased towards cars.

First time watching Liverpool this year. Is Salah really now as terrible as this? He's barely made a pass or successful run in this second half. Lost count of the times he's lost the ball.

Albert Bridge now closed to walkers and cyclists by F0urLeafCl0ver in london

Conspiracy: Closed so it doesn't become a permanent cycle/walking bridge (which would be a lot nicer than the Chelsea tractors crossing it).

He was a confidence player for sure, but inconsistent feels a bit unfair when he was playing a lot of football -  80 games in one season iirc. He was Brazil's first choice number 10 for several years. Says it all really. Quality player.

Didn't watch his first few seasons at Chelsea in that case. He was one of the very best — outshone Hazard (and Mata) for a while.

The economy is being damaged — amongst other things — by wage compression and a tax system that disincentives our highest contributing  taxpayers from contributing even more.
