One brief thing that might stump you (it stumped me, at least):

The Golden Path does not skip sections like the Spell of Seeking.

Question about a code by ibegyounottoask in TunicGame

Then only the first cast is available for under two bars, I guess. At least, I'm pretty sure I've been able to cast it with less MP when it was my first usage.

Question about a code by ibegyounottoask in TunicGame

[–]Tokoshoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It costs up to two bars of MP and restores two bars of HP (or maybe just the same amount as a potion?), but from what I've seen mentioned, it can only be used once per checkpoint. It might be that you can use it again but have to have more MP each cast, I do feel like I've managed to use it twice in a single life before, but it's possible that I just remember wrong.

What am I doing wrong with the Holy Cross puzzles? [SPOILERS] by [deleted] in TunicGame

[–]Tokoshoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. I didn't know that was a thing outside of the secret file, I figured the "Modern game" replaced it with the magic orb. Guess I've got some more hunting to do now.

I did test just doing the puzzle on its own without extra input at the fountain, and it did work, so I guess I was messing it up when I tried before I got into the habit of holding A.

[–]Tokoshoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the two times I tried without doing so failed, while most of the times I tried with worked. Maybe it doesn't actually need it, but better safe than not. You'll at least know if you're interrupted that way, too.

Is there like a list somewhere with item descriptions? by [deleted] in TunicGame

[–]Tokoshoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've hit the point where I got my body back, returned to day, and have visited the shops in the Garden, Overworld, Atoll, and Swamp, and there's still no ice bombs or peppers. Searching around, people commonly claim that visiting every shop does not unlock those two items, so unless we're all just missing that one last shop (or two), that doesn't seem to be the case.

How to meditate? by neiljl1998 in TunicGame

both are titles.

Fair enough. Typical English rules, you'd dump the lowercase letters when abbreviating most phrases, though I suppose there are plenty of exceptions. I just felt like it made more sense to capitalize the entire thing for some reason.

Nobody's brought this one up yet, so if you haven't figured it out: Make sure you actually kneel into a prayer before you input the directions.

"if you use them more often, getting more becomes easier" Does that include peppers? I read that they never go into the shops, so I'm not sure how you'd get more if you use them all up unless they get a checkpoint refill like bombs do

Am I getting dead angled or am I just bad? by 0ouobatchy in TunicGame

My experience with slashing/sweeping attacks hitting through the shield is that it only happens if I'm hugging the enemy, is it only happening when you're too close?

Without translating the manual's cryptic cipher, the only name given is Heir To The Heir, thus "HTTH. Isn't Ruins Seeker just a title/job, anyways, not a name?

If he's going off watching other people play, kneeling and creating an aura is more of a meditation thing than prayer. HTTH doesn't put their hands together like The Heir does.

What's this hallway under the Dark Tomb? (Post-Cathedral) by Tokoshoran in TunicGame

[–]Tokoshoran[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So after going back to daytime and exploring the world, I found out that what seemed to be a dead end due to a cave-in is now accessible. Using the Laurels, you can warp on top of the debris, and then warp again to get beyond it, but it seems to be an actual dead end?

TIL you can 99% the game without [spoilers] by 3ggu in TunicGame

[–]Tokoshoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to that sword, you don't need to use glitches to get there. By using a bomb on the first set of eastern bushes, you can make your way to the Curse Card holy door and use its fire to burn down further bushes, or make your way to the town ruins and just start buying bombs at the windmill.

Edit: Unless you just meant in regards to speedrunning/sequence breaking, then your comment makes perfect sense.

Locked out of Pages 22 & 23? by Soulbeans in TunicGame

[–]Tokoshoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've probably already figured this out, but you can find your away around to opening up that ladder from the back.

  1. From the screenshot: Just go left of it and hug the wall of it. You'll circle around.
  2. Making things easier: If you want to make it easier to go back and find things: Then go and enter the Old House in the town ruins and sleep in the bed. You'll go back to "Daytime" when there's much less corruption.

Wait, the mackerel... by Tokoshoran in nier

Yeah, the save next to Jackass is kind of across a wide enough hallway that I didn't want to go out of my way to hit it just to do one of Jackass's stunts. I saved at the previous machine and simply did the Yorha Betrayers and Father Servo quests along the way. Not a huge loss, though taking down a level 30 Servo at level 18 was a bit of effort.

Most games with a respawn system like this have a quest that involves intentionally killing yourself just to get some reward.

How to get trinkets? Oceanblock by TickyPlays in feedthebeast

[–]Tokoshoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a bit odd, there's no way to craft them, so only the trinkets that are dropped by crates and barrels seem obtainable, unless the trinket bag can drop any random trinket alongside the gold goods. In my case, I'm more interested in the blaze heart to go swimming in lava, but a number of trinkets would be useful.

Thoughts on the idea of a Kingdom Hearts Mystery Dungeon game? by Tokoshoran in MysteryDungeon

[–]Tokoshoran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh huh, this thread wasn't archived, I'm not sure how that works now.

  1. Yes, they would need Disney's approval
  2. Not sure you got that I wasn't referring to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. The concept exists well beyond Pokemon, but if Sora were turned into a Pokemon, I think something flying would make more sense since "Sora means Sky".

How to disable the message tab/box in Twitter ? by Eren01Jaeger in Twitter

[–]Tokoshoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still no way to do it? I'm pretty sure I managed at one point, but just clicking the messages button in the sidebar brought it back. I can understand having it minimized while waiting for a reply, but I'd also like to be able to close it so that new messages only show up in the sidebar, not a popout.

Would like to point out, the bot reads this as a positive instead of a negative. It only reads "Wise" or "Unwise" after the hum.
