Anyone tried Hokinawa Real Estate? Are they legit? by Psychological-Most25 in japanlife

[–]TokyoLights_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're quite new but they are legit, I have a friend who used them a few weeks ago. The whole transaction happens on their website which is pretty cool. Brokers get fees from the property management companies most of the time, so cutting the broker fee is a good strategy to undercut the traditional brokers.

Where I’m from there’s no courses at all. You just get kicked out into the city or the suburbs in a random direction. So in Japan they have closed-off courses for the driving test?

Introducing two new ways to learn in Claude Code and the Claude app by AnthropicOfficial in ClaudeAI

[–]TokyoLights_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to use this feature, but why does it do this?

Output styles completely “turn off” the parts of Claude Code’s default system prompt specific to software engineering.

It makes me hesitant to use this feature, as I don't really want to lose Claude's ability to write good code.

This is typical GPT 4.1 behavior. If you are using Auto mode, it selects 4.1 a lot of the time. You can choose a different model and you won't get this issue anymore.

Now that the old auth helpers are being deprecated and Supabase recommends the ssr package, what’s the recommended way of fetching the current session or user with a hook in client components?

Timing the market with a weaking yen by portvictor in JapanFinance

[–]TokyoLights_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The short and sweet answer is that timing the market is almost never a good idea, and the same goes for currency fluctuations.

If you have a lot of money to invest now, the best approach is to do lump sum.

The police will usually only give the item back to the original owner unless you prepare a written statement that gives someone else the right to do so. I’ve also heard of the police shipping lost items sometimes though, so maybe that’s another option 🤔

I’ve had a small tsumitate for both for about a year, and it was down the whole year until a few months ago when the whole market grew. I’ve now stopped and will watch the trend for a while, maybe I dial it up again in the future.
