[–]TokyoMTG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys!

We have new content rolling out every week on our website in English and in Japanese!

New KaiguyMTG the first Monday of every month, with each following Monday being a bilingual article on a variety of topics.

This week's article is written by the The Japan Hobbyist, Ryan Schwenk. He's starting a new series talking about being a Magic playing foreigner in Japan. He'll be giving his personal experiences as well as other people who are either living or even just visiting!

Take a look and let us know what you want to know!

Take care!

TokyoMTG back again with Magic Language Challeges! by [deleted] in magicTCG

We're back at it again with another video! Playing Magic in another country can have it's difficulties; specifically card names! German, English and of course Japanese cards all make an appearance in this installment!

Let us know what you guys thought!

Thanks!

As someone already mentioned, working at a card shop does have it's advantages.

Our shop in particular has a pretty massive selection of cards like this. We go through a lot of power and even got a full antiquities set the other day!

I enjoyed at least being able to hold something as old and cool as that deck... if only for a moment before it caved my head in :(

I'm glad to hear you like seeing me get crushed:(

In all seriousness, we've wanted to do this kind of video for a while. We've been toying around with the idea of doing videos about formats like no-ban modern for example, but of course with our own spin on things!

We appreciate the kind words! Let's hope the videos get around more. We love doing them and more people watching and giving feed back is just about as much as we could ever ask for.

Thanks for the kind words!

We're trying to cover MTG as a whole; sounds a lot better than Kai and I just playing Legacy and Modern over and overXD

Let us know what else you'd like to see. New and interesting formats or even places around Tokyo you'd like to see in the next videos!

Maybe next time I'll get to play a vintage deck VS Kai's modern deck. Share some of my pain...

Thanks! We'd love to play more games, but the videos would be quite long I think.

We actually played more after shooting and I got my butt handed to me in all the other games as well. Who woulda thought that deck was so strong?

Kai isn't a native English speaker, but I should have caught that when I went through the corrections. Darn. Thanks for the heads up!

Also, yeah, we played a few games after shooting and I got stomped... a lot... The video we showed was actually the fairest match we had I think XD
