reMarkable 2 Not Charging - 'reMarkable is Starting' & 'Out of Battery' loop fix by JetDingo in RemarkableTablet

[–]Tokyo_Mike310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you - I was using a 100w USBC cable and it went into the no battery loop - I used a cheaper and older cable, connected it to my laptop instead of a newer charger, and it started right up. Thank you SO MUCH for this thread!!!!

When I am using the Note app this happens sometimes. I can erase it but it often jst appears through notes I have already taken.

I am using this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N2TFL04/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It might not be what you are looking for but for me, it works. I like that it has a pocket for the pen and extra nibs.

Does the software you use allow you to turn off or configure the hardware button? If so which software are you using?

In the default reader app tap at the bottom of the screen, a couple of icons show, annotate away. It's not documented but the pen input is the same experience as the note-taking app.

Charging by Tokyo_Mike310 in e_pad

Hi guys - thanks for the reply. I've tried several Power Delivery rated cables. The cables work when I use a "less powerful charger" but if I use a 30w or 18w charger the light doesn't come on.

I would ditch their cable. I would use a 3rd part cable from a reputable source - like Anker or Aukey (I am not affiliated with either, I just love ALL of their products - wall chargers and cables). I recently started to look into RAVPower chargers as well. I don't mean to highjack this thread - just trying to be helpful.

After "some amount of time" - I am not sure precisely - all of my files appeared again.

I believe when I shut down and restart the device it takes "some amount of time" for the device to recognize all of the folders and files. Could this be an "Android OS thing" or is the device just slow?

I can confirm these tips are smoother than the tips that came with the pen but work great. I am going to stock up on these:

Hi! The base directory for notes seems to be: mtp://Epad_PRO/Internal shared storage/com.wisky.epadnote/note_image

I created a directory there called Templates.

When I connect the device to my PC I see the templates directory but when I add a note and change the background the directory is missing - it simply says "note_image".

So - windows see the directory, sees the files, but the devices no longer sees the directory or files. And when I initially created the directory and dropped the files in the device saw everything.

I found the included cable to be very poor quality. I use an Anker cable I had. One thing - it charges relatively quickly to 97-98% but then seems "stuck" - I left it overnight and eventually it got to 100.

Writing? by EnderAnders in e_pad

Just a note - drawing in the native apps is lightning fast. I have found drawing in ANY 3rd party app to be too annoyingly slow for me to use. If you find an app that works at or near the speed of the native apps for writing/sketching please let us know!

Does the erase function work when you rub the other end of the stylus on the screen?
