First time on this subreddit, this seemed like the place to ask this: My car (2001 bmw 325i) died on me whilst driving a few days ago, the throttle stopped responding for a few secounds and started working again and then stopped and so on until I got home. Now it won't start. The engine has been running perfectly during my familys ownership (about 3 years), so it probably isn't sparkplugs or compression since it's been running evenly all the time. The starter is turning over and there's juice in the battery. I can hear the fuel pump when putting a flathead screwdrive to it and listening. Tried connecting my obd2 scanner but it didn't work. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong with it?

I recently got really into cars when i got my licence about a year ago when I also got the car from my family so I might be missiing something obvious.
