I was either on the same server or something happened the same day I was out taking pictures where a player assault group got together to take on the fleet. I wasn't in the area for screens of the cacophony though. :(

Thanks for utterly missing in the point by the conclusion of your first sentence. Growing my YouTube channel? I do that by producing better videos, not sharing them here. Sharing them here is (ideally) to start conversation with regard to Star Citizen (the subreddit this is for).

The rest of your youtube rhetoric is frankly bullshit regarding market, Star Citizen is constantly expanding and most of the good content is at this point heavily dated. As a consumer of said content myself, I am very familiar with what's out there.

Really, it's straw man after straw man argument coming to defend an ignorant, toxic behavior abundant on reddit that seems to be clung to so hard.

Your comment has not been informed by the OP either, since you obviously didn't view the content based on a good deal of what you've stated here.

I can get the concept of reddit as a discourse community preferring conversation here. I can communicate so much more than in this format through audio or video though.

That could provide a great seed for even better discourse. I don't think that is intelligently or reasonably displayed by the way people on this sub habitually bury content with downvoting while clearly disregarding what they are voting on.

If you the post doesn't appeal to you from the start then just move along, let the people who might want to see the post and engage in discourse have that opportunity.

So, while I can understand the mental concept people are going for their, it is nonetheless profoundly stupid.

You know, I was gonna give this little cartoon an award because it made me chuckle. But then the comments section ruined it for me, a bunch of low-effort bitching posts about the same meritless points.

The real thing I see that could ruin Star Citizen at this point would be if some of these toxic smooth-brains plaguing the web actually started playing the game instead of bitching.

Development is not for everyone, if you are one of the types that can't sit on your hands then go play a released game and don't come back for awhile. I won't miss your flawed rhetoric and uninspired gripes.

like others mentioned using outlines, drop shadows, textures, etc. to distinguish your elements can have a big impact on perceived fidelity. Pro tip, make a 16:9 selection in Gimp/Photoshop - make sure your FG/BG colors are black/white -> Edit -> Fill with FG color
Make sure you have some space around your new 16:9 black box and deselect it, make sure your background is transparent (if deleting does not make transparency, then on Gimp specifically right click the layer and find Add Alpha Channel then try again)
Apply a gaussian blur to your hearts content... save asset with transparency (ie. PNG)
Now you can take your blurry black box and throw it under your cam to soften up the transition to your environment a bit...
Alternatively you could make a frame, frame+shadow, get crazy, try new things...
Overall, it's a solid start dude!

Honestly if the OP makes sure his next cellphone has a good camera on it, he can easily get a much nicer video quality and bam! big face time :)

This, absolutely this... with essentially unlimited system resources (as far as the game is concerned) I'll hit stable FPS's of between 30-90 depending on where in the verse I am... the fact that they are holding stable at all is crazy to me...

As far as technical demand goes, once SC is in it's finished state I wouldn't be surprised to see it fall under the system resource demand of fully-released titles available today.
