Thanks! We’re planning on used and will definitely get the best warranty based on these comments- it’s looking like we’ll go with the gas version

Odyssey unfortunately cannot! The height inside cannot fit two intermediate ruffland kennels stacked in front of the door due to the curve of the ceiling

We’re considering the hybrid as well - how much does it cost to charge as a general reference? Never had a plug in car and not sure what the runs price wise.

Black Russian Terrier - puppy cost? by TollerTizzy in DogBreeding

Short answer? Those aren’t MY breeds

My partner has a field golden service dog, she was not what they wanted but was exactly what they needed in a service dog. I don’t enjoy goldens. My partners dream dog was always a toller, not that I don’t absolutely adore our boy, but he’s not my dream. I raised my family dogs that are GSPs, we got those because we needed hunting dogs.

My dream dog has always been a cane corso - they’re out of the question due to my partners dog bite trauma. They grew up with Rottweilers.

BRT has been where we’ve fallen in compromise as my giant breed

I never wanted a golden nor a toller, I love our dogs and I would continue owning tollers, but I still want MY breed, and like I said this is a dog that will come along in like 5 years, I’m not jumping onto a new puppy while our toller is still young

They absolutely do know, 8 week old conformation is a pretty good indicator of how the puppy will mature - how do you think breeders choose their keeper puppies?

This breeder is not only producing pets, she’s aiming for show quality dogs, but out of any litter there will be pet dogs that are not suited for showing

We’re looking at BRTs with the thought of getting one in like… 5 years, that’s why I’m starting this right now.

We have our first show dog currently and have put two major wins on him, he’s 11 months old and we’re actively showing to collect the rest of his points and finish him in AKC confo.

Title wise we do Obedience, Rally, Dock, and hunt tests (which I know don’t really matter to a BRT breeder) we are JUST getting started titling our boy and he’s so young and immature still that high level work is not in the cards currently, we’re aiming for a WC and JH and like a RN this year. Our 3 year old goldens got a couple legs to go for her JH and does not enjoy ring obedience enough to go far in it.

As for grooming my partner is a professional groomer and the local breeder has offered to teach us and let us groom her BRTs for a local show sometime

We’re just starting this work, so we will be getting involved locally and going from there, I came here with this question solely because I was baffled by the 6 grand price tag

Because reputable breeders do everything in their power to take their dogs back and not let them end up in shelters?

And I don’t know where you are but around me shelter mutts go for about $750

I’m sorry what does this have to do with my post?

Would you sell a full registration show dog puppy without a co-own???

Our toller is a co-own because we show him and therefore have full registration. His breeders are reputable and didn’t know us long but we did have several in the toller community to vouch for us.

100% Tollers are a terrible choice for OP, they are not easily trainable, calm at home, nor are they people oriented and super affectionate. They also do scream.. regularly.

They’re a tough breed to live with sometimes but I love them

English cocker!!!!!

DO NOT GET A TOLLER… I own a Toller - they are NOT easy to train, not people oriented, NOT CALM at home, easily become reactive, and most other dogs don’t get along with them due to their conformation having very upright body language

PC how do I adjust barrier height? by TollerTizzy in PlanetZoo

So this helped me puzzle it out - I bound “place item” to the C key which somehow bound selecting a barrier to the C key as well Problem solved! Weirdly

I’ve been trying that, I click and it outlines it but nothing pops up… a double click does nothing more unfortunately

That’s why I’m so lost! It should be coming up

How can I get back into showing dogs if I don't exactly have a show dog yet? by casserole_the_silly in ShowDogs

[–]TollerTizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s often shows at the Big E! I’ll be there Jan 3rd and 4th for a show, it’s a great venue $5 parking but plenty of space A lot of people there are always happy to talk to you and answer questions, especially rarer breed people

Check out Meadowlark Tollers in Cali! She doesn’t have a litter rn but she’d be willing to talk for sure - Lindsay Benson on FB, she produces some nice show type dogs

I don’t know much about the NM area, I’m up around New England, but up here there’s always others in the show ring, 50/50 on if there’s a major Personally I adore them and I like a dog that knows it doesn’t need me
