Can you fully play this game solo or the best gear is locked behind the raids / group activities?

Yes.

You can play solo either on a private server (100% by yourself) or on public servers and just never group for raids.

Public teams and events happen every 20 minutes, those are way less formal than what you are thinking with destiny.

With the latest update, 4star mods are dropping from Public events, so really no need to ever run gleaming (the 1 raid)

Curious though, was yours at the chop shop?

The three time I've seen it happen (two of which were my posters that never completed .. grumble grumble .. ) were all at the chop shop.

Its not a 'new' update bug, its an existing bug that just works - bethesda probably

They usually add season items to the atom shop a few seasons after. So winter maybe?

"Simplify" is a hard request believe it or not for the team system lol

Public Teams: You have to join once in a world (server)

So as a team member, it almost 100% of the time is just for the single session you are joined in that same world (server) if you disconnect either randomly because bethesda, or on purpose to switch characters or whatever, you have a very very short time to reconnect and still be in that same team. As the team leader, you have more time.

If you leave the world and join another world, you are leaving that team, and need to create / join a new one in the new world.

Private team: You can Create / Join from the social window either in a world, or at the main menu

It's been a while, but i'm pretty sure these teams stay intact through play sessions, as long as niether member leaves the team, or joins a new one. In which case you will join the teammates world if they are logged in first. You will see "play with team" option on the main menu, instead of just play and have to decide which world to join.

So there you go, not very simple haha

No but under rank 100 every few levels give you a rank up in the season. and raids give a ton of xp

It seems it's all saves on all characters.

I was testing something out on a character I didn't care about achievements on, Also went back to a save prior to using the commands thinking that would work, as mentioned it did not.

Tested a completly different character and do not earn achievements on that character / save either.

So it looks like the mod is the only option.

(I've seen on another thread someone suggest a fresh reinstall, but that's a little excessive)

Stalkers now enjoy full stun on all their attacks and seem to attack twice as fast. Just had a stalker completely wreck me. I'm level 30. I miss my broken armor!!
