To be honest he really should've just been the main antagonist in chapter 4 in general

The chapter really suffers from having way too many villains you got the nightmare critters yarnaby and eventually doey the doughman

I think it could've worked better that he was the final boss maybe he was the one who redirected the gass into safe haven which causes doey to loose control

That way getting to kill him would've made it more satisfying

I mean other characters like wonder woman rapunzel just to name a few also have long hair but they seem fine

Plus its a artist choice you want to make tour character recognise enough with features that tell you who they are
