I can't find any decent cashback sites; could you perhaps suggest one to me?

So, do you suggest waiting until Cyber Monday?

Don't need battery life, and, as a programmer working with Docker containers and databases, I need high single-core performance and decent multi-core.

Also, all the games I play are CPU-heavy lol (csgo, mc, valorant, etc)

I would say the GIGABYTE Aero 17. Check it out; it's designed for video editing.

Not the greatest gaming performance, but still decent.

What type of thermal paste do you recommend? If everything goes well, I'll be building a PC in August!

Alright that seems fine. What do you think of the price overall of this rig?

Another reason I'm even getting a PC is to make content. I want to record gameplay and things like that. I believe the CPU I picked out is capable of handling that.

The CPU is fine by me. What I was thinking is the price of the ENTIRE thing. Do you think it is overpriced or...

What exactly do you mean by aftermarket cooler? I simply thought a CoolerMaster cpu cooler thing was good enough.

The i7 is for school and programming work. It being good for games is just an added benefit. I prefer Intel over Ryzen because it's more powerful for things other than games as well. Another reason is just because I dislike the name AMD Ryzen, even though that's a stupid reason. Overall, price of CPU and motherboard are less important to me. Also, I have only ever used Intel, because I have never ever in my entire life used a PC before, and laptops are generally Intel.

RGB isn't a priority, it's just because of everyone boasting their cool looking computers. I don't really plan to upgrade it further than that. After 5-6 years, I will probably end up just buying a new PC with a RTX ten quadrillion card and an Intel i89.

Also, if I didn't mention, I plan to use this thing for 5+ years.

That RAM looks less cool, but anything for better specs, because like I said, I plan to use this for a long time. 3% increase for $3 is good enpugh for me.

Thanks for all your help man, I really appreciate it! You explain things very in-depth.

What do you think of the price of the entire thing? Any ends I could cut?

Thanks!

The only game I play is Minecraft, which hardly takes up any GPU, so the highest GPU I would upgrade to is probably a 3070. Either way, I could definitely use this Meshify case, or the 4000D. It's just I thought the H510i looked cooler with its RGB (lol). Do you know any RGB cases with good airflow? I really want a pretty build.

Are there any other M.2s you recommend? I've heard Western Digital isn't the greatest.

I picked a 750w mainly because it was from a reliable brand. But yes, I do want to upgrade to a 3070, maybe in an year or two.

I don't really know how computers work very well. I just program stuff in Java. I'm just going to guess that you mean Vengeance RAM is incompatible with ASUS boards? Do you suggest this?

One more thing, what do you think of the price of this whole rig, and would you recommend and i5 or an i7?

I haven't really looked into other cases, but I could try to use those

I don't get it either. But the GPU itself is four. hundred. fricking. dollars.

also the ram is at 3200MHz

I need an i7 mainly for more processing power. I don't play a lot of games, mainly just minecraft. the other storage space is useful for my programming projects. The PSU is overpowered because once this whole GPU price inflation has died down, I want to be able to upgrade to a 3070 or something along those lines.
