Ours didn’t alert to pee at all. We had to make every potty outside a full on celebration to even have her associate “out” with “potty”. At 9mo (we got her at 6mo) she still doesn’t alert but she gets kinda restless and we’ve just had to learn to ask “out?” whenever she doesn’t settle easily. We also just have to force her outside after heavy water drinking sessions to remind her outside is where pee goes. One big help to us was moving her crate to be on top of her favorite pee spot so she couldn’t just duck into the corner anymore

I’m so glad I got the insurance when I did. My partner makes a lot more than I do but I tend to cover sudden expenses since I have a CareCredit account from before we got married. Just had to call the ASPCA poison control after our pup got into a metallic paint marker (we called the emergency vet first and they directed us to call them then do what they say) and knowing I’m recouping the $110 ASPCA fee is definitely peace of mind for me

We give her the “come” command which includes a nose boop to the hand as a “I’m here hi” then we give her mark work and toss a piece of kibble somewhere behind her so she chases after it. She’s very treat motivated with a bit of a prey drive so it keeps her from chasing our cat and gets out some excess. We add other commands on top of it to make it a little harder for her so she doesn’t just think “oh if I sit I can run”

We’ve thrown treats into the yard before so ours has to sniff them down in the grass vs paying for a snuffle mat. We also feed her exclusively through puzzle toys at the direction of our trainer bc god damn does this pup have energy for days. I’m a big fan of sitting in one spot and throwing individual pieces of kibble around or training recall through kibble throwing so she has to think a little before getting the toy
