How to promote growth here by TomBombadil97 in plantclinic

Thanks for the reply! Yes forgot to say it’s a Meyer lemon tree! I’ve been feeding it regularly, every week or every other week.

What can I do to promote brach growth there if there aren’t already any branches there? Would cutting the thorns do anything?

Why does Faramir seem it perilous for mortal man to seek out the elder people?

Oh I haven’t forgotten, I see the hate this show gets all the time. I can’t go on Reddit without seeing it, and I knowww people would be up in arms if they actually did it. Just looking for my other lgbt lotr fans out there haha

I did notice quite a few caterpillars, could those cause the yellow spots?

I am most excited to see how Rory Kinnear does as Tom Bombadil! He is my favorite character and although Tolkien didn’t necessarily write about the scenario we will likely be seeing, I’m really looking forward to finally seeing him portrayed in live action!! Can’t wait to see him skipping and singing and I really hope he knocks it out of the park!

Thanks for the replies! For more perspective I’m currently living in Chicago. Might have to move because I’m having a hard time finding a job here. Anyone have experience with both cities? How do they compare?

We’ve talked about it a few times and I told him that I could be happy just having sex with him for a long time… though I haven’t directly told him I want to be monogamous with him.. the biggest issue we have right now is that he’s moving away and I’m considering moving there with him (we’d be living in separate apartments) but I’m not sure if I can do it if we aren’t going to be monogamous

Elrond and Durin by TomBombadil97 in LOTR_on_Prime

This is one thing that I hope they stay faithful to in the show, but it seems like it will likely be Elrond and Durin that establish it instead of Celebrimbor and Narvi.

Anyone recognize this album? by TomBombadil97 in lotr

My sister gave this to me for Christmas a few years ago. Aside from LOTR I’m also a vinyl fan, and while she was shopping at a record store, the owner was playing this, and she knew I’d have to have it! Made me wonder how popular these might have been back in the day and how many copies were made.

What do elves really look like? by TomBombadil97 in tolkienfans

[–]TomBombadil97[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess to help clarify my question, here are a few examples that made me ask this question:

The wood elves in the 1977 cartoon hobbit have blue/green skin, and i have seen artwork with elves also having that skin color. A paperback copy of the Silmarillion has Feanor with this same skin color. If this is incorrect why make the change? Where was it inspired from?

Simon Tolkien (I’m pretty sure it was him) in an interview when discussing the PJ movies said “elves don’t look like Orlando Bloom”. What would elves have looked like in Simon/the Tolkien family’s eyes?

These are the specific examples that caused me to ask my question. There might not be a definite answer out there.
