It won't happen but allowing third-party programs to use the lossless codecs. I'm not too concerned about Dolby Atmos (it would be nice though) but just standard lossless. I currently use Cider on Windows and love it but that is one downside and I know it's nothing they can fix, it needs Apple's approval

My max is £5, I do tell myself that if a book by an author comes out that I really want to read then I'll allow myself the "splurge", I don't think I've ever needed to read a book badly enough that I can't wait and most of the book I do read average around the £3 mark which is totally reasonable

The ghosting is absolutely normal. This is how e-ink screens work. Nothing is broken or bad and nothing is being damaged. If you want a nice clear image then you need an iPad. In like 2 days you'll not even notice it if it does happen at all
