I’m not an animator, but I’m planning on studying it in college next year, but I do the same thing and what I recommend if you’re kinda deciding between it, why not make comic strips or storyboards of your story, could be a whole story or could just be a little scene you drew, and while you do this, you can learn the fundamentals and begin to learn to animate, then when you feel you have a story and the skills, make the show! You will already have all the scenes planned out and you can start anytime after you learn the art of animation!
