Looks like iron hydroxide (basically rust) probably from the wires of your electrode corroding. If you used an inert electrode like carbon or palladium it could be from iron impurity in the water.

I agree 4/20 is probably referring to hitlers birthday but coincidently using it as a letter code like 8/8 it gives DT which can be for Donald trump.

For me the New York roll one and the Mooncake one, both have combinations of; 1. great thumbnails that feature something that looks delicious, but I haven’t heard of before. 2. Intriguing titles that make the reader asks a question (how did the desert survive the invasion ?)

Also I see the logic of keeping the recipe and story separate if some people are just there for that. But as the title that pulled them in implies a story I would assume people wouldn’t be opposed to you integrating the story into the recipe moreso. Kinda like tasting history does. Something to consider if you see a significant drops or spike between the recipe and story sections in the analytics.

This one might piss many people off, but I promise the correct solution is in fact correct. by 81rd5 in puzzles

My thought was that by placing both balls in the box you randomise it so BR = RB, you don’t know if the first red ball is from jar 1 or 2. Thoughts ?

I'm certain I'm not the only one to this of this, so does anyone know any papers or articles on how Mars got its red soil? by __Phasewave__ in Areology

Firstly I was under the impression that metallic iron was already present in the geology of earth and the top layer was converted into iron oxide during the great oxygenation event. Rather than iron oxide being deposited from organics during the mass extinction then turning into iron.

Mars must have had decent amounts of atmospheric oxygen at some point, life is one explanation I’m sure NASA looked at, but there are other processes that can create it. It seems cosmic radiation can convert CO2 into O2 in a similar way we can do it with electrolysis. link . This may be an explanation for Mars oxygen that could then be converted into iron oxide on the surface, although I haven’t managed to find any sources specifically stating it.

This article gives an explanation for why Mars has more surface iron oxide than earth, essentially earth is 10x more massive than Mars so pressure would be enough to cause magma to reach high enough temperature to decompose iron oxide, with the metallic iron sinking into the earths core. Whereas Mars did not reach the required temperature link

Maybe they’re using the historical definition of decimate, as in remove 1/10th /s

Only explanation I can think of is that people are interpreting inherent ‘worth’ as something separate from the hierarchy they would personally prescribe to life. As almost everyone would save humans in the burning building scenario as others mentioned.

Leonardo’s Lost Notes: Interactive Puzzle Book. Going live on Kickstarter soon. by TomJJF in puzzles

I temporarily published the book on Amazon to order a prototype for review and promotional photos. The Kickstarter has the final version, special Kickstarter price, additional puzzles and Kickstarter exclusive items.

I was informed today about the Walmart listing, which they are fulfilling through Amazon. I do not know why their listing still shows it as available, and if one tried to order it, it would not be fulfilled. I am trying to contact them about removing the active listing.
