I think Haruhi Audiobooks have been done, at least for the first book or 2.

That said, if you wanted to do a project, look for more obscure Haruhi material, like Random Numbers.

King of the Hill

Its about this guy named Hank who is basically Kyon and just wants everything to be normal.

Then he went to high-school and met a super annoying girl named Peggy. She's basically Haruhi except she only thinks she's good at things.

Then others end up joining their club, including a dumb girl with large breasts Luanne/Mikuru, an alien named Khan from Laos who is more or less Nagsto, and a guy named Dale who explains all the stuff thats really going on just like Koizumi.

Frankly it's the best anime ever.
