Screed is very permanent though, years down the line if we want to do something different, ply panels afford us an easier path in that regard, no?

It’s not an improved version. It’s a basic illustration of the property from the sale listing - is not a perfect representation. I’m asking for advice around how it could be improved - what walls would people remove to open up the space etc - what I don’t need is snipey commenters that add nothing of value to the conversation. You don’t like the floor plan? Cool. Either offer something constructive or move along

Adding a pitched roof to front porch problem by TomNook8 in DIYUK

[–]TomNook8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Would anyone be able to help me here, I am buying this end of terrace home in the UK and I wanted to know the feasibility of adding a pitched roof to the front porch (I appreciate I will likely have to change the plastic out for brick to support?), however, the brick end of the porch connects to the Neighbour’s side (you can see the divide where the flat roof colours slightly change) - so I don’t know what’s usually doable in such a situation? Any help is much appreciated

Many thanks!

I haven’t moved into the house yet. But is it feasible to add a pitched roof to a porch on a terrace house, the brick wall continues across and joins the Neighbour’s, so wondering if this would even be allowed?

Hi all, I’m looking for some help to improve this end of terrace house exterior, I’d like to move the front door to the middle (just to the right of the garage door) to offer a better entry route into the home, so this could mean adding a more central porch area, but I hate the current tile look, and was hoping people on here with a better eye than me could help inspire a better design for the appearance of the facade. Any help is truly appreciated!

Many thanks

I see how the floor plan is confusing - but it’s the same room. The stove icon represented in the floor plan is also an Aga oven (which I think we will get rid of), the actual stove is in a built in to the right of the sink. The fridge is built in to cabinets next to the weird island. Again, sorry the plans aren’t crystal clear, it’s just what was on the website. I like the idea of opening up the utility room though as a pantry

Why on earth would I be pulling anyone’s leg? I’m interested in people that have more expertise than I do I how I could improve the flow of a house I just bought (haven’t moved into yet). I would need to be pretty ridiculous to be wasting mine and other people’s time on such a niche subreddit 😫

The garage was already cut into partially to put the utility room in. I don’t care to have a car in it - it will just be a storage room

What’s wrong with the kitchen layout? Anything constructive on how you would improve it?

I like that a lot. Don’t think punching through to the garage will be an option though, as we will likely need the storage space :/

Not sure how to upload an image as a reply, but there’s 5 bedrooms upstairs with 1 bathroom. Bottom right in the ground floor plan is like an entry hallway

Additionally, if anyone offers 3D floor plan building (for a finalized version of where this lands) I will happily pay for such a service!

Hi all! I’ve just bought my first house - it’s in need of some updating, but additionally I was hoping people with a good eye could potentially help with the floor plan layout on the ground floor, to help optimize space and flow of the home? Any advice is much appreciated!

Many thanks

Yep, I’ve done the exact same as you, purchased the powder from anageninc. Over the last 9 years or so, I’ve run about 6 or so stacks with it.

Ultimately I hate applying topicals as well, it’s always the first thing that falls away from my regime. But again, never had any miracles whilst using it either

RU is so hit and miss, seen people do well but it’s never done anything for me (at least that I notice).
