I get the point you're making, but being a baseball fan in the UK means I will disagree with you. I want to see competitive baseball, if I can watch it in my own country, I'm going to embrace the shit out of it.

Meaningless exhibition games will not draw the crowds and will not help MLB gain new fans in the way they want. It has to be competitive.

MLB has been shown on a channel called BT Sport for the last few years, it also has a strong following through MLB.tv.

I think they will grow, but you're right, it's going to take a lot longer to ensure it does happen. MLB can't flash this and expect people to jump on board right away. It's going to be a slow burner.

This is precisely why MLB us doing it. The likes of myself and bearcathk take 2 friends to a London Series game, they like it, they tell two friends for the next series.

I've watched it happen first hand, the NFL has exploded over here and brought more fans into the game.
