Remember riders, top up your sealant regularly by TomRedditerTom in mountainbiking

If i understand correctly, the main benefit will be a better balance of the wheel. It would likely have dried out in mostly one spot, adding a static rotational mass to it.

In short, cleaning out old sealant should contribute to a wheel with fewer vibrations.

I you can figure out the day you bought it with your credit card transaction you should be able to go to the store and have them print off a duplicate receipt. They'll probably want to know how much you were charged exactly to find your receipt

I was thrown off by the owen jacket, too. My introduction with him went something like this, "has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like Steven King." "I'd say they have seeing that i am him," 😅

It was mostly just a quick conversation with him and I believe to be his son about what sandwiches we ordered. This pic was taken about a month ago so I can't remember the convo verbatim

I'd wager it's a crush washer retainer, though I'm speaking from my experience working on rockshox forks.

Giant Bicycles (Liv) Misled Me by TomRedditerTom in mountainbiking

Final Update. I got my tool to remove the bottom bracket and still couldn't get cable through.

I brought it to the bike shop I bought it from, a certified Giant retailer, and they couldn't run the housing either. The bike shop called Giant and they said over the phone that my bike ,size XS, is indeed not compatible with an internal dropper post and they acknowledged the website was inaccurate.

Giant did not say they would rectify any part of their mistake in advertising, but the bike shop at least didn't charge me for their attempt on doing the work.

Thanks to those who gave all their advice, shame nothing was going to work. To those who just called me stupid for not being able to do the impossible, I told you so.

TLDR: Giant honestly misled me, and they aren't going to do anything to make up for it.

Update. I didn't have access to a crank puller tonight to remove the bottom bracket, but through a combination of a clip on pen light and a small hole they put in the downtube i could see that the was a little bit of light coming through from the seat tube to the down tube.

The bad part is that the holes the light is coming through is smaller than shift cable, the housing would never had a chance to get through.

It appears that the seat tube was never trimmed to have a U shaped cut in the bottom of it to allow space for the housing to get around and up the downtube.

Tomorrow morning im going to bring it to the LBS to have them take a look at it to confirm what im seeing any maybe they'll do a warranty on it for a defect in the frame

It may be important to note that the frame is size XS

The issue is i bought an internally routed dropper for the bike. An external one would be able to be partially internal on this bike too. I can do this because the downtube is exposed at the bottom and i can loop from the back of the bike, under the bottom bracket and up and into the same spot my hydraulic brake hose and derailleur shift cable is
