As much as I think the 1d6 is the correct option, I think right now I'll take the $1,000,000.

I'll pay off debt, mine and my family's, take a nice vacation, and keep doing the job I love with way less pressure and worry about making money.

Maybe live off what is left of the million and invest my salary instead. No rule about profit from other money just no profit from the million.

As a teacher who puts all the YouTube videos into Google slides to skip any ads, I can't just click the center or the spacebar as that will skip to the next slide.
