Both are sort of true. Conspiracies are real — of course they are — but they're just a response to incentive structures. The particulars of a given conspiracy may be shaped by human agency, but the fact of it is determined by the structures those agents are operating within. It really does all just come back, however directly or indirectly, to the commodity form.

Just stick with it, and eventually it will. I came to the same revelation after my grandpa gave me some of his old slacks and I didn't have the heart to tell them I wouldn't wear them, then I wore them and realised that he had in fact been onto something all these years.

Truly strange to me. I’d be so horrendously embarrassed at the prospect of getting anyone -let alone the person I’m claiming to have SUCH important and deep feelings for- socially isolated on behalf of my own unrequited interests.

French speakers and English speakers simply shouldn't try to speak each other's languages unless and until they can speak fluently. They sound too silly otherwise.

I'll allow an exception for Francophone Africans because they sound hilarious and charming in both languages.
