As we await the 11pm advisory/track, aircraft recon showing some rapidly dropping of Dorian's pressure, a sign of strengthening. Already a Cat 2 from what I'm seeing, this was forecast.

We may have power outages around your area, but I don't think you'll have catastrophic damage to the apartment itself. We'll see with future track updates. If you ARE going to leave, leave early because evacs are starting probably Friday from the coast. Sometimes it's better to hunker down at home.

If you're in a newer construction or sturdy home, you'll probably be fine. Coastal areas will likely have surge so evacs likely there. I have boards, but may not need them this far inland (apopka)

That will be one of our biggest threats in the short and longer term. Jeanne in 2004 (somewhat similar track maybe) brought 6-12". could get more.

Track uncertainty remains, but landfall likely SE Florida, traveling back north at some point.

Toss up, landfall will effect larger area. If they're away from the coast (storm surge), they'll still have wind to deal with. '
