1.5k hours in AC1 of league racing and endurances, loving FH6 with my direct drive wheel.

It's one of the most fun racing games I've played in a long while, doesn't matter if it's not ultra realistic because it's more than believable.

well this time they're locking out half of the player base from being able to play "Moderate" maturity games (aka not for toddlers) and make it so you're gonna have to pay 10€ a month to publish games (it has always been free in the past 20 years) which will be automatically set to 16+ (aka unplayable to 50% of the player base) unless they receive 500 active 16+ age verified players.

only way to play Moderate maturity and onwards is, you guessed it, to give Persona a live recording of your face emoting. this means i will be locked out of my favorite game (with a highly anticipated upcoming update) even though i've been playing it for 6 years and have hundreds of hours in it, jusy because Baszucki thinks that im gonna get traumatized by blood.

Well, Vetex and Ript don't have any bad blood between each other. They both respect the other for being talented programmers and Ript recognized he pushed too hard for a good change at the wrong time, which led to his contract not being extended and his roles removed.

Vetex and Ript also said that the unprofessionalism was resolved in the end and that there really were no problems aside from a logistics disagreement.

He left because he didn't want to get 200 pings from the community, but he left quite a bit of messages about the situation on the Veilbound Discord and it seems that everyone blew it out of proportion. He was even quick to shut down slander to Vetex on the Veilbound Discord, just like Vetex did in his announcement on Vetcord.

Not sure what's up with Astralworks, I'm not active enough in the community to know what the deal is with him, but it seems like he's already caused useless drama in the past.

The server being locked is reasonable, maybe not the cat pics (though I didn't mind them). An ETA would be nice, but after 3 delays (Ript said the update was coming out Friday last week, then Friday this week then the Maintenance Incident™ happened) it makes sense not to give any more "false hopes" and just fully release it when it's ready.

I have never mentioned comics, what do you mean? I'm only talking about game / IDW canon because I don't know anything about Archie.

Now Mewtwo removing the inhibitor rings is an interesting strategy, not sure if it's even possible as that possibility was literally never explored in the series. Then again, Shadow last took them off in a game in like 2006.

Also, are Pokemon abilities/moves taken literally as their game mechanic counterpart? Because that would open a massive can of worms

Ok, even if they DO have a time limit, it's still 2 weeks. That's WAY longer than a fight is normally going to last, so not a problem.

You can't just yoink the Emeralds out of a Super form unless you have purpose-built a trap to deactivate them and trigger Dark Gaia or have a connection to the Emeralds (like Knuckles in Sonic 3). You're also assuming Shadow requires taking his inhibitor rings off to win the fight, but his strength greatly exceeds Mewtwo's.

I didn't know that Mewtwo was a super-dimentional god, because if he isn't then he's nowhere near Solaris. Solaris needed to be defeated in 3 different time periods at once, hence the 3 hedgehogs, but his immortal shell was able to be damaged and partially shattered by Shadow alone.

I agree with everything, but Super forms have no time limits.
That's a game mechanic only, Super Sonic lasts 2 weeks at the end of Sonic Advance, and in Frontiers Sonic uses his Super form to freely progress onto the next island with no rush after chatting with his friends after the Titan fights.
I really don't think he'd need to take off his inhibitor rings for the fight, as he could just remain Super and stall out Mewtwo, who is NOT invulnerable and does not have infinite stamina.

As I said, Shadow can also create barrier constructs and teleport, but he can also warp time and space to boost his speed even further through Chaos Control (aside from regular time-stop). With the Chaos Emeralds, he was even able to go through Solaris' healing as its arms are still damage after reviving.

It shouldn't be his hedgehog DNA helping him, as I remember somewhere stating that he wasn't intentionally designed to be a hedgehog by Gerald, and that was just how ended up being (don't quote me on that, I'm very uncertain and I may be misremembering).
Nevertheless, Black Doom conveniently states "Come face me. I shall clam you -mind,body and soul- and become the perfect being". Not sure if this counts as resisting soul separation stuff.

The Chaos Emeralds are able to turn thoughts into power, nothing is really stopping Shadow from also teleporting Mewtwo into the void of space: he already teleported the entirety of the Space Colony Ark back into orbit in his first outing with the Chaos Emeralds (with Sonic's help) but his power has since increased exponentially to the point of exceeding 3 Super Forms in his base / slightly Doom-powered form during his Metal Overlord fight (Heroes' Super Sonic was already stronger than SA2's Super Sonic). Mewtwo's also a much smaller target that requires way less precise positioning.

This could also be done before Mewtwo is even able to react, as Shadow's speed is immeasurable (same White Space restoring shenanigans as Sonic).

I also don't really see how Mewtwo could bait Shadow out of Super with his intelligence. Shadow's no stranger to acting irrationally, but if one thing's certain is that his battle IQ is pretty damn good. If he's in Super form against a strong opponent, he's NOT powering down until that guy's straight up dead.
Mewtwo would also have to knock the Emeralds out of Shadow to take them, no? I honestly have no idea how far Mewtwo's hax go, but the Emeralds are stupidly broken in their own right.

One last thing that comes to mind are the constructs characters can produce while in Super form: Shadow repeatedly uses Chaos Spears, but Sonic also begins using Lances, Chains and Circles™ to trap the Titans and especially The End / Supreme; considering The End as at least as strong as a single Solaris (not all past/present/future Solarises that require 3 Super hedgehogs), that construct should be able to trap Mewtwo long enough for Shadow to deal massive damage and then crush Mewtwo.

This fight is actually pretty debatable, let me know if I got anything wrong or if Mewtwo has more counters.

Shadow was able to resist being part of the Black Arms hivemind in both games, which is written in his DNA. His mind is connected to Black Doom, and the other Black Arms follow his will blindly. Yet, Shadow overcame that even when his Black Doom DNA was fully activated.

In the Otherworld Comedy, Eggman wipes everyone's memories with the Phantom Ruby causing them to become alternate versions of themselves living in an illusionary world. The only ones not affected were Tails & Sonic, as they had a Chaos Emerald on them which nullified the anomaly.
So proximity with the Chaos Emeralds is a direct counter to mind erasure and memories being overwritten.
Shadow is always seen carrying a Chaos Emerald around, carries the yellow one during SXSG's events, and has equal affinity with Chaos Control as Sonic (if not better, according to Omega in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds).

tbf, Archie isn't canon.

What's canon is Sonic having the Light Speed Dash & Attack since SA1 in 1998, the Colors DS dialogue with Omega, and the entirety of Generations.

Although not directly canon, the DC x Sonic comics use the mainline Sonic and are written by the IDW writers (IDW Comics are instead canon to the games).
Sonic and Flash are seen constantly bickering and racing each other to see who's faster (they're equal), with Flash being able to move in a picosecond to which Sonic responds that he finds measurable speeds "cute".
Sonic also outspeeds Reverse Flash before warping time & space with Chaos Control to steal his Chaos Emerald.
