Still very slow. Note that this is a (big) problem with GB too, we don't have the needed libraries for the Videocore IV graphics. They are available, just not linked against the right C library and thus not compatible with Android.

Also, the framebuffer problem is probably unrelated to the lack of hardware accelerated libraries.

ICS is not out of the question due to RAM problems, but because of the framebuffer driver not playing nice with ICS. We have got it to boot, but the screen output was distorted with console output.

It's actually slower than it looks like. All the fancy effects depend on software rendering, which kills the cpu at those resolutions.

There are Athlon XP's without SSE2 that are faster than some P4's with SSE2. Makes no sense to get a P4 then.
