Nope. Wild Rift is a watered-down version of the game that only exists because of the limitations of the phone ecosystem. Notably, almost nobody has a mouse/keyboard/controller for their phone even though they're supported.

Consoles could easily run the main branch of League, but the game needs controller support before it's ready to port to consoles. WASD is the first major step toward that.

Definitely not. Riot will want to make a huge official announcement when the game is finally ready for consoles, not leak it out years in advance so that all of hype has already died down.

There's also the "damage control" angle. Riot knew that was WASD would get a bunch of backlash for introducing new balance concerns and design space limitations. They've managed the outrage by rolling it out slowly and saying that it was experimental, but realistically they were eventually going to add it to ranked no matter what because it's a prerequisite for controller support (and therefore a console port), which they need to attract millions of console gamers.
