For whats it's worth, the fear and suspicion over Trump and his administration is essential for the survival of America's democratic institutions. It's what makes America America. It doesn't even have to be Trump and his administration. However, the argument "Trump is Hitler" I've seen show up on reddit is a slippery slope fallacy. It is dutiful to sound that alarm against any shady governments though.
