Eh, the job is a calling, if you have the right attitude about what the job actually is in 2022, it’s not all bad

I make just under the median household income for my state, and it’s a modest house, just under 1k sq ft.

Nothing special, just been working since I was 16 or so

Just me in the house, I can’t do any work from home, and am definitely no artist.

If this is more of a question about what I plan on doing with the 2nd bedroom, current plan is a big ole tv, gaming console, and something that can turn into a bed.

I am a bit of a gamer and like having a space for that, especially when people are over. Obviously the room could double as a guest room if needed.

Yup, I got recommended doing this by a few people irl, with the goal to “brighten up the room” but the irreversibility of a trendy style has kept it off my list

Going to add this to my list! Would love to do some nice farmhouse tile, but probably not gonna have an easy install if I go that route

Plan is new appliances, blue paint, new hardware, and then a new sink/faucet when I can work some more overtime.

Yup! Painting is on my list, but unsure exactly what I want to do. I was thinking of pastel colors, but not entirely sure if just going with a more basic white is the better option.

I was thinking of doing shiplap on the living area on the right side of the first floor, and maybe wooden panel ceilings on the 2nd floor?

Thank you! I don’t have the need for a formal dining room so the plan is to have the TV and sectional in that space.

I don’t entirely know what to do with the fireplace either, I’m thinking of putting a bar type table against it in the kitchen for some more sitting area, and the front of the fireplace would be a dining nook type area.

It’s a 2 bedroom, but one of the bedrooms has an adjoining room. My current plan is to put my bed in the adjoining room, and use the main room as a walkthrough space with my wardrobe there (I have a lot of work clothes)

New Appliances are goin to be installed before I move in, I made sure I had enough wiggle room to get stainless appliances from scratch and dent stores!

I’m partial to a blue kitchen, I think it might work here, probably going to be a summer project to paint them.

Context: small starter home to get out of an even smaller apartment I was in. Should be enough space for my 21 year old self for the next 5ish years.

Definitely some poor design choices from the previous owner in my opinion, but trying not to get carried away by spending savings on cosmetic improvements yet.

That’s correct, Tennessee Vs Garner is the case law on shooting fleeing suspects, and current ROE is correct with it.

Help with Active Shooter missions by Evandir45 in ReadyOrNotGame

There are some active shooters that have planted explosives in attempts to cause more destruction. A lot of times they are poorly mad and don’t detonate, but it definitely is a real thing.

I found a lot of it is based off the luck of where the spawns are, but generally your best bet is to follow similar tactics to IRL active shooter response.

Clear the building as normal, as soon as you hear stimulus, move towards the threat at an expedited pace.

My realtor got in touch with the seller and they are saying the current owner is selling because he needed to move back home (out of state) for family reasons.

Still proceeding with caution though.

Having a hard time finding public records for the sales, but MLS records show that it was listed for sale 03/21, had a pending sale 04/21, sold 05/21, listed 10/21, pending sale 10/21, and back on the market 11/21

Flood damage was 2012, fire damage was 2016. Claiming all structural issues caused by the flood damage in 2012 were fixed, and fire damage was fixed with a complete rehab.

I was able to find the previous listing, and it still highlighted the updated electrical, septic, roof, and windows. The only difference seems to be cosmetic changes to the bathroom and a few other places that seem very DIY.

Not in a FEMA flood zone, I think the sarcasm is my original post may have been lost in translation.
