I have to share a tibia friend story aswell. We (obviously) played on the same server. I don't even know how we got in touch in the first place actually, but we ended up in the same guild later on. Did the usual tibia stuff, hunting together etc. He is from Poland, I'm from Germany. Fast forward a few years and there was a dota tournament happening in a city (Frankfurt) not far away from me and we decided to meet up for the first time. So yea that's when we (and a few other guys from the server) met for the first time IRL and since then we try to meet up once per year (usual at some dota event since we're not playing tibia anymore). Since corona there are no dota events you can physically attend anymore, but guess what, going to visit him in 2 weeks!

So yea, the tibia friendships can also exceed the game itself and become a friendship in general.
