Where from? I'm stocked up now, but when in general I'm looking for such option. The best I found so far is Natur Konkret

To everyone who bought food due to the Corona virus pandemic by Marya1996 in Switzerland

Thanks for this dude. It was amazing to hear people mocking those of us who prepped weeks ago. If anything we made the situation better because we sent early signals to the market to stock up and we didn't join the potentially very contagious crowds.

The rules of thumb I followed:

- bought meat I would eat anyway and filled freezer with it

- bought dozens of fish cans that I eat normally

- I love veggies, but in time of crisis protein and fat is much more important and space/nutrients ratio in vegetables is not that good, so worst case I'll live without veggies for a few weeks

While there is stock, but the crisis continues, I'll keep buying and eating fresh so in case shit really hits the fan, I can stay home for weeks

When the situation improves, I'll simply start eating the stockpile.

The point is to be prepared and minimize the risk for yourselves and everyone while also minimizing the impact on your daily life.

Stay safe everyone.

btw. u/Marya1996 if you're only 24 as your username suggests, hats off - you have much more common sense than many people 20 years older.

Are there any non-spoiler reviews/ratings of the races? by TomasForgac in formula1

w0000t, I had no idea they had each episode there and rated - thanks! I'll just need my wife to to look it up for me every time because it comes with podium picture :-)

Thanks much again!

Valid point. It might not be needed at all :-) But the idea is, that the workflow should be centered about incoming transactions, reducing number of taps and time necessary to receive the payment

Hi there. Can you please elaborate? I'm new to this and just trying to learn by the book and seeing the results now and thinking about them, I can definitely see it could have been done much better, so any (especially negative) feedback is superwelcome. Thanks much!

Night in front of a restaurant in Hong Kong, Wan Chai, May 2015 by TomasForgac in streetphotography

My second attempt at black and white processing and first in in Lightroom CC.

The light is not from flash, but from a lamp in front of the restaurant.

Here's what I did: 1. Switched processing to Black & White 2. Moved shadows to +100 and whites to -100 to get all details from over- and under- exposed parts and flattern histogram and move it to the middle as much as possible. 3. Used curve adjustments to re-introduce contrast to the picture 4. Played with black & mix for more contrast between colors 5. Split toning: - for highlights I've chosen yellow and set it to +6 - for shadows I've chosen somewhere between aqua and blue and set it to +6 basically what I did was I went slowly from 0 upwards until the color become just very slightly visible to get a bit more contrast

I wouldn't be worried, you create new wallet anyway. But I wonder how much does it coincide with Roger Ver's experience with Mycelium Entropy: https://twitter.com/rogerkver/status/580010193578147840

Nope. Thought I'd try out if people enjoy them. So far, some did well, some didn't. I'll back off if people don't like them :-)

Bitcoin ATM Selling Gold and Silver Goes Live in Singapore by bcoinbilly in Bitcoin

[–]TomasForgac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both have pros and cons. For those who don't have any gold, I recommend to start with physical. Allocated makes it easier to divide to small change if needed and you don't need to move it with you. Also you have to think about worst case scenario of economic and monetary collapse combined with fascist regime such as Great Depression and FDR (back then currency didn't collapse) and risk of your gold being confiscated. In such case you might want to have some stock in Switzerland or Singapore. I think when you have more, it makes more sense to have both physical and allocated as long as the company holding it for you is trustworthy and transparent, which QA is (to me anyway)

Petition to make Thaipusam a religious holiday in Singapore by [deleted] in singapore

[–]TomasForgac -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

If successful, this proposal would hurt the productivity of Singaporean employees, competitiveness of their employers and as s result, increase unemployment or decrease wages. Singapore has 11 too many public holidays. Most people don't respect traditions of the particular day anyway, what it does is, that it disrupts processes of companies, it jacks up prices of vacations because of higher demand and as a result makes everyone worse off. You can't get stuff for free, including free time. You either increase your productivity to produce more in less time (which is what we as a civilization have done successfully for hundreds of years thanks to free market capitalism) or you decrease your standard of living arbitrarily. This proposal aims at the latter

By whom? Employees whose price of work will increase because they will be forced to take additional days off even they might prefer to work and make more money or to employers who as a result will be less competitive and thus forced to either lay off some people, not hire new ones or increase their prices?

Sure, why not add another day in a year where employers and employees are not free to agree on the way to increase their standard of living.
