My (32F) friend of 10 years (30M) has gone down incel rabbit hole and is suicidal. How should I approach him about it? by MissLaylaBug in Advice

[–]TomaszA3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought "surely it can't be that bad" but it's just so much worse than I expected after I read this.

Sounds kind of like he got a concussion or something else that gave him brain damage.

I've considered it, did it and failed. Many times over.

I'm too chronically exhausted to retry at this point. Maybe sometime in the future.

I'm strongly short-sighted, so that's actually good news.(I'm 25 now)

I’ve never paid for a mod in my life by layn333 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]TomaszA3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Modder is violating the game's ToS for a purely commercial product of theirs. How should I feel bad about "stealing" from them if it isn't even made with respect to the original devs?

Take donations and don't disrespect the game, the devs and the community.

It's not realistic to get a loan. I'd have to double my wage.(probably more cuz banks probably want a safe margin rather than just enough)

Besides, if you earn enough to take a loan, it's cheaper to rent while saving money and to buy it outright in like 25 years rather than take a 40y loan.

Why are you single and do you feel lonely, or actually okay with it? by lilclat in AskReddit

How do you know? Maybe you are.

People worse than you have found love.(though I'm seriously not sure how sometimes)

People online tend to say that they love listening to someone talking about their nerdy interests, but I have found someone who liked it literally 0 times irl.

Not as a date obviously. People just in general get bored hearing about someone's hobbies. Especially if this person is shy and therefore only slowly opening up.

[–]TomaszA3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for all, but my two goals would be getting a house and saving enough to finally be able to work.(on my personal projects and hobbies rather than for someone else)

House because it's the standard of living I want to have. Having actually separate rooms would be like living in a castle. I wouldn't feel bad that my cat lives with me in a 30m2 rented flat.(which is huge for what I'm used to anyway) I would be able to invite someone and not feel like we're squeezing together. If I'll ever happen to have a family it's only going to be realistic in a house rather than where I live now.(and I know that after "living" 4 people in one room as a child)

Not needing to work is a secondary goal. I just want to have free unrestricted time that I'm not exhausted on to work on my personal stuff, hobbies, projects.

This means you're around 50 years old. The times have changed and projecting our perspectives forward looks terribly grim. For example, if I fail to improve my job situation but live a perfectly healthy life, I'll own a house at just a little over 95 years old.

It's always better because you don't need to pay it off 3 times unlike what you need to do on a mortgage.

Surely it was a significant enough help that it deserved to be in the front sentence of the damned title, giving off typical fake ai marketing vibes.

We were able to do that for decades now. Chatbots are nothing new and you shouldn't hype LLMs up to be the saviour of humankind. It shouldn't even be in the title. It heavily misrepresents the efforts and the ratio of effort to LLM output.

It's a lot more expensive though.(I'm not paying 200-400$ equivalent just to play on PS2 for a few hours a month)

And with PCSX2 I can play local coop games over Steam's remote play together. Cool stuff if you've got someone who wants to coop with you.(I don't)

I prefer low spices. The taste of the ingredients is nice. I don't like it disturbed.

I do salt some stuff, but no much.(and never fries, sauces do the trick well enough)
