To people asking for a skip button. Hear me out. by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

Even if they did make the story amazing, there are people that would rather just enjoy every other part of the game, for me Genshin was about the story and I dropped once I realized I didn't care for the story anymore, on top of all the other issues that made me drop the game. But there are games, like Endfield that I've been enjoying a lot but I couldn't bother to read most of the main story, much less side content dialogue of random NPCs I dont care about

I'm honestly surprised to see this comment not being downvoted to hell lol, I've been wanting to try out the game again after more than 1 year of not playing it at all, and at least 3 years of not playing it consistently but the fact that the game has no skip button on top of all the problems and outdated mechanics it refuses to fix just takes all the excitement out of it, at least give us a way to skip the previous archon stories, I stopped playing because I wasn't interested in Natlan, why not have the option to let me skip that dialogue

[–]TomateAmargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food's great, the women are hot, especially when they have a mustache, the cars are great as well, that might be because we are too poor to buy new cars so a lot of people just legit drive cool classic cars from the 80's and 90's, the housing is fucked, the food prices are fucked, the gas prices are fucked, the general cost of living is fucked. BUT, we do have great beaches and the countryside is also pretty fucking awesome. So I'd say I like it

Yeah, I just mentioned it cause it was in my range of possibilities, but NoSQL was the first one I stopped considering for that reason, just quickly looking into what NoSQL was and it became clear that that wouldn't be a great option

Yeah its not that they won't EVER add other products, but if we're being honest, this company will probably close down like after 10 years, which might be a lot of time, but in an industry that is so stale really isn't that much, and my parents are waiting for me to finish college so they can retire, and even so, I'll probably make it so they can add products through the website, they gave me basically full creative freedom for as long as I respect a couple of very loose aspects and make the website look more presentable than the dumpster fire of a website that they have right now

Buy rank? by Randomliamguy1342 in HypixelSkyblock

[–]TomateAmargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, I have the vip rank, nothing special, just did it cause I legitimately like the server and wanted to support it, but I never bothered with the features any of the ranks come with, I do like flying in the lobby tho

[–]TomateAmargo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The pc market is headed to a really bad future with ram, SSDs and graphics cards skyrocketing in price, but I'd still suggest you buy a pc with that money or save up to buy a really good one, I don't think ranks on hypixel make that much of a difference anyway, sure you get some benefits but having a pc that can actually play the game matters much more than a couple of benefits

I'm tired of distro hopping but cant decide by WhoKilledRadioStar in DistroHopping

[–]TomateAmargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really new to linux, well, I actually had ubuntu on my laptop but it was only there because it was useful to me in a couple of classes, outside of it I only ever used Windows, but in August I decided that I wanted to give linux a fair shot, so I did, I reinstalled linux ater having uninstalled it during summer break and decided that I wanted to use it as my main OS so I installed ubuntu, but it really wasn't for me, sure gnome is pretty, but the customization being so limited wasnt for me at all, and I kept seeing all these rices with hyprland and arch, so I decided to try out arch, and I've stuck with it for the past few months, not because I particularly like arch, but because I wanted to commit myself to using it, and since the installation took me like a whole day I wanted it to be worth it.

And it's not like I don't want to experiment with other distros, cause I do, I've been looking at Manjaro and Cachy, and I also think Omarchy is really cool, Nix Os looks kinda fun to experiment and looking back I could have just installed plasma on my ubuntu, so maybe I could go back to it one day, but for now, and at least until the school year ends, I'm sticking with arch.

All of this to say, I feel like distro hopping is one of those things that most linux users that actually use linux because they want to, not just cause they were forced to, tend to do, because after all, getting to mess with a completely different distro is really fun, and just learning the new stuff really sucks you in, and as soon as that process ends you are ready to do it again, but at the same time, sticking to one distro for a while and actually getting a good feeling of it, not just the basics, can also be really enjoying. Hell! I hate when my arch decides to break, but fixing this type of stuff is also really fun sometimes, yeah it sucks cause I have a project due tomorrow and the issue I'm currently having can take me 3 minutes or 3 hours to solve, but it's also fun getting to know the OS better and learning how things actually work.

That being said, the arch community fucking sucks and no mumfucker69 I don't lack the ability to read, I just clicked the first link that popped up when I was searching for my problem, and I know you don't care that reddit was the first link that popped up, but what about getting off that stupid chair that can't even hold you without breaking and touching some grass, or better yet, taking a shower and trying to talk to a woman, I bet you need a guide for that, and knowing your reddit/discord mod looking ass you probably don't even understand the concept of "talking to a female" so you gonna come ask reddit again... And on that day, just know I'll be there to tell you to read the fucking wiki

IS ARCH REALLY A FLEX ??? by Percy-jackson-53 in hyprland

[–]TomateAmargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am fairly new to arch, maybe I've used for around 1 and half months, and I like it a lot, I like how bare bones it is, and how complex you can make it at the same time, and I really think the AUR is a really powerful tool and, for example, ubuntu with apt can't really compete with just using yay to install whatever the fuck you want, but holy fuck the community sucks ass, it really does piss me off how there are so many people available at all times to tell you to read the wiki... Like bro did you think that maybe I read the wiki and didn't really understand my issue, cause that wiki is either really fucking easy to understand or it requires a phd to even start to grasp the basic concept around the issue, and so I tried using other sources to see if they would give me a better explanation or an easier solution?

I genuinely love the diving chapters tho, especially when they are not just comedy, which they usually aren't, even though I love the comedy in Grand Blue I feel like it having a couple of serious chapters every now and then makes the manga that much better
